So I've narrowed my selection down to one of two options - each has pros and cons, but none-the-less here you go:

Fab Fours Vengeance Bumper w/out Pre-Runner Bar

    - No need to relocate TSS sensor behind grill
    - Doesn't look quite as good as Pre-Runner version IMO
    - Simpler design

    fabfours1.jpg

Fab Fours Vengeance with Pre-Runner Bar

    - Super good looking
    - Must re-locate TSS sensor

    Thoughts?

I say the pre runner just make sure that the extra length doesn't make you cut a hole in the garage to fit the truck in. And it would be extra insurance from some good sized four legged creatures in your neck of the woods. Not sure how much weight the pre runner bar adds but that might be a consideration

My vote is for the prerunner bar, I think it looks a little better plus it adds more protection. Without the bar it's similar to stock where the grill is pretty flush with the bumper so you don't get much of a buffer zone before something hits the grill/hood. Almost wish they had a cover/screen for around the fog light mounts though instead of having the gaping holes.

Consider the bar when having to work in the engine bay though, might get in the way.

I vote with runner bar. If you think it looks better that should be your choice. Moving tss is a minor job for a lifetime of loving how your truck looks. Plus it’s better protection

FabFours makes good stuff. I have their rear bumper and the front is on my to do list.

I voted without but might of changed my mind.... they both look good.

Just an FYI, but they do make mesh filler pieces for the side pockets.

I say with, since it is the one I want for my 17, but I don't have to deal with the sensor on the 18. My concern is even if you move the sensor down, it might still see it and cause problems.

How often are you under the hood of your truck? If it's a lot, that bar is gonna be an inconvenience.

Initially often, but after not-so-much. Once I've got lighting wired up I doubt I'll do much tinkering.

I just picked up my Fab Fours Vengeance bumpers yesterday and am having them installed tomorrow. I went with no bar as I liked the look better. Also wen't with out lights for the time being as $1000 for some Rigid lights is quite a bit, especially since I can install them later. Can't wait to get them on.

is there anyone that makes one that is high clearance, and has a front bar, and fits snug, not sticking way out from the truck.

this was the cbi offroad bumper i had on my tacoma, i like the full hoop

Well, spoiler, I did the same - no bull bar. My wife told me since it's HER truck I don't get to chose and she didn't like the bar. I also purchased the rigid lights and I'm going to wire them up next week I think. You can get them at Autoanything with a 22% off code so all in I was about $800. Flood pods and flood/spot hybrid 20" bar. I'm going to wire them all to the fog light switch and then the interior will look SUPER factory.

Don't buy anything just yet... I got an email from Fab Fours saying that they are working on a Grumper for the Tundra and it will be available this year.

I like grumpers on Jeeps but I’m not sure how that would look on a Tundra. Could be super cool and could be too much. Fine balance there IMO.
