Where are Toyota’s from...

Most of us know by now that our Tundras are from Texas, but what about the rest of the Toyota lineup? Here’s a short piece on Toyota history for you history buffs:

Toyotas are sent by the mighty hand of vengeance to strike down the un-roadworthy. Except the Prius and the Sienna.

I never considered where they were born.

As a youngster I toured the Toyota factory in Japan twice (late 1950s, early 1960s). Even as a fifth/sixth grader it was really impressive to see the sophistication of the assembly line. One of my fondest memories was our class was brought into a large conference room where a small team of executives warmly welcomed us and gave us gifts (a small gold covered Toyo-Pet that was velvet lined to be used for a cuff-link or jewelrybox). I have since lost that treasure (dang!) but have great memories of both tours.
