So recently I put my truck in the shop for the “fuel gauge staying on full”. The regional rep came and also “PUSHED” an update to my radio. Now when I use Bluetooth to talk on the phone the speech is delayed. Like I will say something but the person on the other end doesn’t hear it for 4-6 seconds. It makes carrying a conversation almost impossible. Anyone else having this issue??

Ask @ryanwgregg. He's the SME for all of the head unit updates.

Toyota is doing a phased rollout of an OTA update to the head units. You're the first, that I've seen, reporting such an issue.

We should be glad they are doing a phased approach when the software is buggy.

As long as the updates are not “more buggy”. It did NOT fix the auto start stop issue. Actually got worse

Same thing is happening to me - weird thing is it only started after I paired my profile to my key.

Not a world ended but extremely annoying. Let me know if you find anything out, I’m gonna call the dealership.

Ok 1 how do you unpair the key? They paired my key in this last “update” so that def could be it. Second, Toyota Corporate called me and I told them everything. They said they were going to find out then call me back no later than Tuesday. Let you know.

I am just using the spare key that I haven't paired for now - haven't tested it yet but going to later this afternoon.

I’m having a similar issue. I notice the phone call is Initially fine then between the 6-9 minute point, the call lags with the receiver hearing me about 4-5 seconds after I talk. I have unpaired my phone several times and have gone through all the steps on apple’s website. Noticed the last post here was in March. Any updates or anyone find a fix?

Any updates here? I have the same issue on both my 2022 tundras (fleet vehicles)

It’s very sporadic.. doesn’t happen on every call but when it does, I have to switch to speaker phone or handheld :/

I’m having the same issue. Dealership said they updated the radio software the other day but the issue persists.

I'm having the same issue with my 2022 Tundra - 1794. It makes having a conversation nearly impossible. The delay causes a lot of over-talking with one another. At first I just thought a couple callers were rude, eventually I realized it was my truck and a voice delay.

2022 1794 and having the same issue... 4-6 second delay when talking before they hear my communication. It did not do this prior to the software updates for the front camera issue displaying on the multi media screen. Also, I used to be able to "Hey Toyota" and ask for weather forecast and it would display the next five days on the screen. Now it does not. Just shows the blue screen and blank. Something broke when they updated the multimedia display. Hope they fix soon!!!

2022 Platinum has the same bluetooth delay issue. After a few minutes of a phone conversation the delay starts. Took to local dealership and was told they tested and found no problem. I assume they were not on the phone long enough for the issue to begin. This happens every-time I use bluetooth. Now I don't even bother trying to use the bluetooth connection, I use the phone speaker instead. Checked for an update...nothing!! Anybody hearing anything new on this???

I’m having the same issue on my 2022 1794. Will be connected using Apple CarPlay, wired or wireless, and after about 10 to 15 minutes on a call my audio becomes delayed on the other end. Happened when I got my truck in June and still happens after phone IOS upgrade and 5k service with software updates for recalls. I’m afraid if I mention it to the dealer they will give the normal “we can’t reproduce the problem”. Will most likely mention it anyway to have it on record.

I have been having the same issues. iPhone 13 with carplay. Mine doesn’t happen with every call but sporadic. Also the 7-8 second delay happens pretty much from the get-go not several minutes into the call.

My 2022 Platinum is doing the same thing. After a few minutes of being on the phone, it will have a 5-10 second delay. Dealer said they checked everything and they didn’t find anything. The screen also freezes up every so often and will not reset until you turn the vehicle off then back on. Toyota has really been letting me down with the ‘22. Never had issues with a 2010,2012 and 2014.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max using wireless Apple CarPlay and I’m having the same issue. It’s incredibly frustrating where I basically have to use either headphones to talk or the speaker option. Even if parked watching anything on my phone, the audio is so delayed….

Trd pro here. Also have this issue using wireless CarPlay. The delay happens usually 5-10-15 minutes into a call and it can delay by 20+ seconds. Any updates on a fix?
