I bought my Tundra in August, Silver Sky Met., TRD.I did have it rustproofed as well as the interior and the windows protected. I do live in the Northeast with snow, salt and all the dirt that comes with winter. I reached out by text to the sales dept where i bought the truck but have not recieved an answer as of yet.

Would it be o.k. to wax the truck before the winter really sets in ?

I'm kind of old school and like the traditional Turtle Wax in a can, but am willing to change if there is a better product.

You want a sealant not a wax, especially with winter on the way. I've used Collinite and Adam's Sealant. Both are excellent but I'm sure others will chime in with more options.

You can go ahead and wax or seal right now! Hurry, snow is on the way.

Old school was you waited 6 months after truck was painted. I think with new paints and clearcoat you are good to go. Like you I like Turtle Wax but I am switching to a liquid and save TW for boat. I waxed hood and roof when I got mine home.

I have been in hot summer weather (90°-120°+) for over a year and a half. I'm done with it
