Does anyone know how to get these rivits out of the wheel well so I can remove the cover and get to the bottom of the bed rails? I got a couple out by reaching around and pinching them but most I will not be able to reach that way. I tried using a panel tool but it’s not pushing the tabs in enough.

Smoooch, looks like the center piece with the odd shaped hole, unscrews from the outer part. If so, leave a couple threads in the hole and pull. I don't have your model, so I'm guessing.

Thanks for the guess. It doesn’t. I should have take a picture of one of the grommets that I did remove by reaching my hand around back. I’m going to swing by Toyota today and ask them or buy some more so I can break them.

Hang tight! Before you break 'em, someone here might know. At least your thread gets bumped.

You should be able to take a small flat head and get around the exterior circle by popping it up.

Here are some pitctures of the gromit. It has 2 tabs on the side that are easy to push it from the back but you can’t get to the back of most of them to push them in.

They are pretty much one time use clips any auto body supply place should have them take one with you auveco is who makes replacements. Don’t go to toyo they They ridiculously over priced. A box from the AB store will be roughly $11-13 bucks for a box of 25. They charge like $2.50 a clip at toyo

Take a razor knife and slice off the head and the rest pops out the other side
