Will installing spidertrax wheel spacers have a significant negative impact on the life of the wheel bearings? Any other negatives you can think of?

Exactly. It's the same thing as an offset wheels....just separate from the wheel.

The further out you are from center the more premature wear you add to the bearings.

Add ball joints to that as well.

I saw a dumbass in a ram Cummins today with ridiculous offset today, wonder why it looked like the passenger side wheel was about to break off! Why would you pay all that for a tow and render it useless. Some people have more money than sense. I'm thinking about putting spacers on mine but just to get a little more clearance from the ucas. Bora makes a 1". I think they'll work without trimming the studs. The fronts are right at an inch and the rears are 1 1/8. My stock wheels have a bit of a recess where the studs stick out of the spacers. The only way to tell is going to be to buy a pair and try it out. Bigger tires add more stess on everything as well. So you can bet that the combination is really going to wear stuff out faster.

But here we are doing exactly those things to our trucks. Just try not to get to extreme and check your shit.

Well that guy with a Cummins probably doesn't use his truck as a tow rig.

I can't figure it out either. Having a lifted, bigger tire truck doesn't help in the towing department.

There is a tractor/trailer operator running around town with spinners on his semi. Pure awesomeness

That's a lot of spinners. Does it make you dizzy if you stare at them too long?

People sure do some weird shit. I wish I'd gotten a pic of the Tacoma I saw at king soopers a while back. Dude made a camper out of an upside down aluminum boat hanging over all the way to the front of the hood and what looked like panels from a walk in cooler! He had an actual camper shell up on home made walls mounted on a utility trailer in tow.

I think he was heading for Beverly hills with jethro and the gang.:turtleride: at least he had enough of a brain to start with a Toyota to build his dream home on wheels.

Is that considered a cab over or a bow over camper?
