I know there are multiple posts on wheel size but it is still all foreign to me. Looking at replacing my 20" wheels and 35x12.5r20 tires with 17's or 18's and 34/35x11.5 tires. I don't want them to poke out too much. Current setup is 2019 TRD Pro with ready lift sst spacer lift and rear block. Going to change to Westcott front with JBA a-arms and Coachbuilder rear. Looking at 3 different Method models in 17 and 18. Which of the following would be the best setup for what I have and what I am looking for? 18x8.5 40/6.27, 18x9 18/5.66, 18x9 18/5.75, 18x9 25/6, 17x7.5 25/5.2
17x8.5 0/4.75. Sorry for the long and nonunderstanding of wheels post. Thank you

The difference between a 17 and 18 is that a 17 will give you a little more sidewall with a bigger tire. The offset is what creates the poke or where the wheel sits in relation to the edge of the fender. I have BW flares on mine. Inrun 285/70/18's which is a 34×11.50 on an 18x9 with 0 offset and my tires are flush with the edge of the flares.

I have removed my flares and wanting to tuck the tire in from where it sits now. Will a higher offset number pull the tire in closer?

What offset do you have currently? It will be stamped on the backside of the wheel. Look for something like ET 0, ET 25, etc.

I'm looking at some on Custom Offsets. I see a +25 that is flush with the fenders. What is the most likely wheel size and tire size that you will go with? I can search that combo and see what the different offsets are.

The wheel size doesn't matter that much to me but probably leaning towards 18". Looking to stay close to 35" tall tire but ok with a 34.2 or 34.8. Those are the sizes I seem to see in a metric tire. Want narrower that 12.5. 11 or 11.5.
