New to the forum scene. Have already gotten some great tips and info - Thanks!

My question is... Can anyone explain why the Entune app doesn't work with my 2016 SR5 DC? I downloaded the app entered the VIN# and got "Application is unavailable for this vehicle". I know the media system didn't come with navigation (which I think is BS considering that's stock on a $8K POS Kia!!). And, I know my rig is a pretty basic stripped down model, but c'mon!?!?!? I can't even get Pandora???

You not missing much not having full Entune, if you can install an Android head unit.

Give it time and eventually you'll learn to hate Entune just like everyone else does. It's a HORRIBLE system.

you have to use Toyota Entune NOT Toyota Entune 3.0, the last one is for more newer toyota models.

This is the one I tried. Said my vehicle isn’t supported. I have Entune with an apps button but no navigation.

I have the Phoenix Android Tesla head unit , love it but they need to fix the HVAC temp display with an update. Also it helps to have unlimited data and tethering.20180310_194503.jpg

Ah, so the apps loaded factory are all I get then.

Really wish the stock headunit worked with my iPhone to run navigation. But I’m sure if it did that, they would be undercutting themselves by giving people a better and cheaper solution than the crappy Toyota nav.

There's an app called Scout GPS Link that gives navigation to some Entune radios, download it and see if that works with your system

The Phoenix units are fantastic looking. Wish all Tundras came with them, with CarPlay installed. Android would be fine too, but for iPhone folks, it'd be nice to have a bluetooth version with wireless charging.

Just downloaded it. I’ll give it a try. The user ratings don’t really instill confidence though.

I’ll be in the minority that doesn’t mind it. It’s light years ahead of Dodge/Jeep.
If Toyota ever accepts Apple Play and Google maps, I’d wager opinions would change. I do wish they would combine apps to a central page rather than apps. Perhaps folders. Companies hardly ever get along though. It’s not uncommon I’m afraid. The voice commands need help. Why can’t I ask it to read texts instead of using apps, messager, read? Lol
