My truck came with a canopy and I personally don't like them. Something about them always makes me think the truck looks like it belongs to an old man. As it is I have nowhere to store it once I remove it so I'm wondering how much is it worth for me to sell it?20210328_163914.jpg

Used Tundra caps are very hard to come by. I would check local Craigslist and Facebook market place. But I would guess around $1200 or so.

I'm in Western North Carolina and just bought an 07 double cab, blue like yours and am looking for a canopy/cap/cover/poppa top etc :)
If you are some where within a reasonable distance to there Let's talk!

    Cheers,
    McG

There’s a Facebook group specifically for Tundra Camper Shells for sale. I’d look it up and post there because I can guarantee someone is looking for what you have.

I’m not “old” per se but I imagine you’d think quite differently if you lived somewhere like Alaska where your bed is essentially useless 7-8 months of the year. Most trucks have toppers of some sort. I have a 2020 DC and have yet to find a used topper. I’m about to give in and buy new.

You make a good point. When I lived in Arizona I never saw a need for a camper but now that I’m in North Carolina and it rains half the time I really see the need. Without my Softopper my bed would be useless half the time.

I don't mind my bed being useless. I absolutely hate how the shell looks tho

Then get one of the more utility/offroad looking caps, like the RLD Design or RSI Smart Cap.

I don't want a cap at all. I don't like any iteration of them

An open box/bed is far from useless.

I have no tonneau or cover and have no desire for one. I'm constantly hauling stuff to and from the dump or garden centre/landscaping material for DIY home projects.

A cover gets in the way for all that stuff. Plus, I want my truck to look like a truck. I'm not sure when Tonneau covers became popular, but I don't think they look good on a truck either.
