Whats a good lift to clear 35s

Ive seen many videos that you can clear 35s with only a 3 inch lift. I don’t know if thats true i would imagine you need to do a body chop as they call it but i was interested in the bds 3in coil over kit. Need some help!!

 

I have pro comp w 6in w 35. Perfect fit

 

No lift needed. Grinding wheels and a BFH will do.

 

Go with a 6 inch or wish you did ..

Any issue with ride quality and what tires are you running

 

The red one is mine and the other is a friends, They both have Procomp 6 inch lifts. There are less expensive 6 inch lifts made by Rough Country that are just as good. Around a grand. I think.

 

The width is a bigger factor than height really; what size tires and wheels were you thinking about? Do you like the "stuffed" tire look? - If not then consider at least a 4.5" lift.

 

All you need is this and it will still have the factory ride.

 

6” Hands down...

 

I have no issues with 3/1 leveling kit and I personally like the look over a 6 inch lift. It's all personal preference.

Yea, I definitely understand that, it’s a big hurdle for alot of people.

 

So I’m going with the PROCOMP 4” but trying to figure out what offset I need and what wheel I want to go with

 

Negative offset dictates a lot of what you're asking about. Lift is good for height of tire clearance but tires move in that wheel well. If you decide to go with a huge negative offset you'll need more height & possible aftermarket bumper to clear unless rubbing doesn't bother you

 

I wouldn't go higher than a leveling kit to 3" then.

 

procomp makes a 4" with no cutting. Thats the one im pretty sure im getting

 

Here is mine with a 18x9 wheel with a -11 offset.
I used a heat gun on the plastic in front of the tire to push it in a little to eliminate a tiny bit of rubbing. Apparently a smaller lift can be done with 35”s from what other people have posted but It may not give you the “look” you want..

 

6" older RC lift, rear cross member is not cut, no rub, on 35's with +20 wheel, tires line up with flares, ride quality is stiff, but what I do with my Tundra I enjoy it

When I bought my Tundra used, I checked time n time, getting to know it, I called RC, spoke with techs sent email pics, they told me it's an older version lift, so my RCM is not cut, so technically I could remove this kit
