I've actually sought out and eaten in the Ft Worth Pappadeux (government training), and the San Antonio Pappadeux (grand daughters school event), and I agree, both met their excellency standard. El Paso wasn't a bad meal, but if you know and want cajun seafood, it was just a little "off" to me. El Paso met their standard when it first opened (HQ training supervision?), but later visits didn't measure up for the cost.

In El Paso, TexMex is king. Unless I've eaten at good Mexican restaurants in other cities, I won't bother with it elsewhere.

They aiight. I wouldn't say "awesome". It's OK if you are happy waiting 3 hours for a burger and free fries that never show up.

but it's all taste. Le Bernardin and Per Se in NY are, according to Michelin Guide, the best restaurants in the United States. Both have pulled 3 Michelin stars since 2006. Eric Riper and Thomas Keller are the greatest chefs in the US today. Still, there are a small amount of Yelpers and Local Guides who shit on their dishes as if they were a temporary pop up serving up milk and orange juice smooshakes with a dash of worchestershire sauce and a piece of rotting codliver as toppings.

Never had one. Will definitely try it if I get a chance. I love burgers. So many different takes on them and I’ve enjoyed almost all of them. Kind of like my music, so many different flavors of music and I like most of them. It’s rare to ever put a burger in front of me and I find it bad.

We have a burger place called Steve’s. They serve literally everything from tacos to breakfast. Great burgers. I love In and out, sometimes just a simple burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese is what I’m looking to eat. Sometimes I love a good gourmet burger. I tend to try burgers at any restaurant I go to just to see how it is. Hard to fuck that up!

I miss those socal burger joints that do the flame grilled burgers and also the fusion mexican food. They ALWAYS have the best zucchini sticks and onion rings. I've traveled across the country (literally) multiple times and have yet to experience that anywhere else but SoCal.

ZOMG! the Chili cheese fries! I had forgotten about those! Oddly enough, they have really good gyros as well. The sign advertising the gyros is always from the 80s and is super sun faded so you can barely see it.

Whataburger is in my opinion, the very best among fast food chains. There are definitely better burgers out there. My two favorite burger places are small hole in the wall spots.

Whataburger just has a high level of quality for what they are, compared to their competitors. It may be the only place where the food actually looks like the pictures on the menu. They’re very consistent.

The Honey BBQ Chicken Strip sandwich is pretty f-ing great.

That does look good! I’ve also been trying fried fish sandwiches at places lately. Something different than just a burger. Do they serve a fish sandwich at Whataburger?

LMFAO it’s far from McDonald’s IMO. I like their stuff because it’s super simple with all fresh ingredients and the meat is never frozen. Just a fresh beef patty with thousand island, onions, lettuce, cheese and tomato. I like to get their fries medium well. I also like to get it animal style which is grilled onions with extra cheese and extra special sauce.

    I’m hungry now
