Nope. No way I'd buy a depreciating liability at 5+% interest.

Pro or not, it shouldn't matter when it comes down to your interest rate. With a score over 800 you should be getting a low rate. Some dealers may bump it a tad to get a kickback, but I would think you should be 2.9% or less with your score. Just my $0.02.

The dealer I have traded with since 2013 offer no incentives for the trd pro. It’s sticker at $53k no special interest or no interest no rebates. They won’t budge. They have 3 on the lot now. They will each of them in short time.

The 2019 tss I got in feb of this year had 0% for 72 months. I jumped on that.

I know on any other Tundra you can get 0% right now. Just not the TRD Pro, 1.9-2.9% is what I figured. I don't know i missed that!

I got a better rate on a used truck. I’d find a credit union. You should get 1.9.

So get a cheaper tundra, lock in at 0% and build it to Pro level. Makes more financial sense in the long run

Wait, so you already signed on the dotted line for a 5.25 rate? If so, how you planning to take “it back”?

Refi it through a credit union if you find a lower rate.

But, yeah if you already signed the loan that said 5%, you're on the hook. If they changed it after you signed then that's another story.

Rates are nearly 4% around here unless you can get a financing special (which the pro is excluded from)

Who signs paperwork without reading it? You signed it then got home only to realize your high interest rate? Sorry but the only way you will get a lower one is to refinance through another agency. That truck is yours. USAA gives new car loans up to 7000 miles that may be an option. I got 1.9 on mine last year

They say incentives on Special?? Tundras?? When I hear that hells bells the most special or one of the top special edition (if you want to call it that) has to be the Pro?? I don’t have s clue how they do that!! APR was no where near that,, Toyota offers better than
That or the financial person should have found Wells Fargo or someone cheaper??

Your interest rate should be low 3’s at most with that credit rating. The dealerships always try and make money from your financing. Do an app through Capital One’s website. They’ll do a pre-approval and give you a rate without doing a hard pull on your credit. You can still get a lower rate than they give you, but it will give you an idea of what your maximum rate would be.

My rating is 835. We bought a Sequoia for my wife a couple weeks ago. Two dealerships tried to give me a rate over 5%. I walked out of one, and got up to walk out of the second one. They gave me 1.9% in the end.

You’re buying a Pro, so you likely are paying sticker or close to it. Don’t let them make more on your financing. You don’t even have to return the truck. Get a rate and approval elsewhere, and tell the dealership you’re going to refinance away from Toyota. I can almost guarantee they’ll drop the rate to keep you from doing it.

If he tells Toyota and the dealership he’s refinancing, they’ll likely lower it for him. The dealership doesn’t get credit for the financing unless he’s paid I believe three months through them. Between that, and his CIS he hasn’t sent in, the dealership is still going to want to keep him happy.

If you financed around $33,500 (assuming a cost of $55,000 less $21,500 trade in) at 5.25% interest vs 1.9% interest over 60 months, your monthly payment would be about $50 per month higher or +$600 per year. If you paid monthly for the duration of the loan you would be paying +$3,000 more in interest. Definitely worth refinancing...
