What u think about NSV hood bulge light?

Thinking of buying this lighting. From headlight revolution.

 

They had a group buy, not sure if they still doing, few members on here have this light bar @Headlight Revolution

I love mine. It’s plenty bright enough to make the high beams look like fog lights and it fits perfectly in the hood bulge.

I love mine too I get lots of compliments looks great functions great. Pull that trigger you won’t be disappointed

 

Don’t have it but definitely want one. Missed the group buy though so I’ll probably wait for another sale..

When my truck turns off it does the Knight Rider thing and it gets noticed.

I use it on back roads and it spots deer ready to cross.

Thank you too. Very like watching the installation video. Outcome is really nice. Bit too expensive. The only thing is. it is exact fitment for tundras. But don't like cutting wires. I guess 2018 on DRL u don't have too right. And hope switch/buttons we could do remotely.

 

They're cool, but the wiring is a little buggy. I had to disable the swipe feature when the alarm is armed/disarmed because it would also sometimes trigger when using the turn signals.

 

Ah you just have to clip a little Blue wire to eliminate the random Turn Signal Swipe problem there! Let me see If I can find a picture of the one in specific.

 

That is correct! The options with the NSV are pretty sweet, It's a very unique piece for the Tundra!

 

How do you adjust/aim the lights?

 

I didn’t see any adjustments when I installed mine

 

In the HR install video there was a connection to the headlight adjust motor. Is there an adjust motor in the NSV. i.e. when you adjust your headlights do the NSVs move as well?

 

The NSV only turns on when the Highbeams are on so I’m sure their is no motor in their to adjust it that thing is crazy bright lights up everything in front of you the only thing you can run all the time is the DRL and you can switch it off with their dash panel

 

I'm about to install mine. Has anyone done an install where you've defeated the need to hook these to high beams yet. I understand the legality of it, I just want to be able to control when I illuminate it and not have to only do it when high beams are initiated.

 

I know you can do it, people here HAVE done it. I didn’t bother. It’s not that difficult to flip it to the high beams.

 

The consumer used to have full control of it until NSV changed the wiring. For the same price, the BD S8 is far superior.

 

Agreed. I need to get off my ass and get my S8 put in the bulge. It’s just sitting there in the garage, all lonely.

I really liked the cool factor of the NSV, but the output and build quality of the BD made it a no-brainer. It’s a Tundra; not KITT.
