I don't have a silver truck, but adamspolishes.com keeps my black one looking like new. Been using his products for years.

I stick to the meguiars line. Wash (foam canon), then 2 bucket with a wash/wax combo, then spray “quik wax” (maroon bottle) with alternating microfiber towels.

Also ran across this...not me of course.

I own a silver vehicle, and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing, and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant, while the silver one (new) demands nothing and it looks just fine. I am beginning to think the black vehicle
is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

    Have to agree..... :amen:

Have always likes Black (or darker colored) vehicles but could not stand when not clean.

I would think with clear coats just about any wax or polish will make her show great. I am very surprised how much our (newly acquired) Silver 07 still beads up. I do like the products. To me, it's about the trim - especially Black trim when cleaned or conditioned that is going to set off the Silver Paint.

My go to is CarPro Essence for a polish followed by CarPro Reload sealant. They produce some amazing results on silver and white vehicles. The great thing about essence is that it doesn't produce a bunch of dust residue as a result of machine polishing. Depending on the pad, it can also be used to remove light clear coat marring like swirls. I use essence and reload twice a year. I use CarPro Hydr02 as a maintenence sealant periodically throughout the year. All products are extremely easy ro use.

Prep is always the key. Make sure the surface is as clean, contaminant-free and defect-free as possible. My daughter has a silver Hyundai, and I've gotten good results with Meguiars Ultimate Wax topped with Pinnacle Souveran Signature Series II paste wax. If you like Chemical Guys, go with Prostar 190's recommendation of JetSeal, but top it with Pete's 53 (instead of Butter Wet Wax)....it will last longer.
