What order should I do these mods in?

    Here are some exterior mods I want to do, but I'm not sure if there's a specific order to doing them, especially around the spraying of the underside:

    * Linex bed
    * Linex underside of truck
    * Install running boards (any recommendations?)
    * Install tonneau cover (any recommendations?)

    For example, do I need to Linex spray the underside of the bed AFTER installing the mounts for the running boards, so they get sprayed as well?

    Where do you live? Do you need to line-x the underside of the truck? I’d put running boards on and line-x the bed... check out Go rhino...

    Do the underside line-x before you install the running boards. Do the bed line-x before you add the cover.

    Thanks. What's the rationale for this?

    Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
    Running boards
    Line-X
    then Cover

    Do all your line-X in one shot if you can. Less down time with your truck.
    Line-X after running boards just in case. When my bed was done they line-x'd over some of the bolt holes of my anchors, which becomes a PITA when your need to try to peel it all out so you can remove them. If they did this to your bolt hole for the running board you'd be F'd. A good shop probably wouldn't have this problem so it depends on who your dealing with.

    To avoid the extra labor in removing and reinstalling these accessories in order to line-x the underlying surfaces. Sort of like painting a wall before you hang a picture.

    Looks like you and mtTundra disagree on whether to Linex the underside or install running boards first... will it be hard to remove the bolts once the underside has been sprayed?

    If I Linex after the running boards, will the Linex shop just spray on top of the running board bolts??

    most likely. A good shop will cover the bolt or thread tho.
    Also as others have said probably want to have the running boards sprayed anyway if your doing the underside.
