What is your Tundra worth?

I was watching tv, and a Carvana commercial came on. I decided to go to their website, and see just how much I could sell my Tundra to them for. The questions they ask are similar to the Kelly Bluebook site as far as interior, exterior, milage, and all that. My 2007 has 87k miles, and paint is good, and truck's never been in an accident. Overall, for a 2007 the truck is in great shape. This is the offer from Carvana.

The price they offered you for your 2015 is the same price I paid for my 2007 3 years ago on Craigslist. It was a hot market when I bought mine, and I knew it. I didn t even bother haggling with the seller. I just paid the asking price, and don t regret it in the least. Carvana can suck it.

 

That's NOT what your truck is worth! That's the price if you're a sucker and can't handle selling a vehicle, so you trade it in at a huge loss.

You are correct of course. That s Carvana s trade in value. Although Kelly blue book private party value is a bit more, it would still be a cold day in hell.

 

Obviously I’d try to get money back from all the mods but realize the amount would be limited. Still. Bull shit!

Haven't checked my truck but I believe the offer for my car when I checked it was about $5000 when I was thinking it should be closer to 10 or 11. The dealership where I bought my truck offered me $4k so it's sitting in the garage until I can safely sell it.

 

Our used Tundra trucks are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them, and no more. Look at NADA trade-in values to get an idea about what someone might be willing to pay for it. Of course you could come across an under-informed buyer that will pay you more than it's worth, it could happen.

The only way you will get good money for these trucks is by selling it yourself. The 4runners however are a different story.

 

A good realtor friend told me that too about houses.

I ran mine through Vroom in March and the offer for my 2019 DC was $31,000. I paid $31,500 + TTL. They emailed me a week later upping the offer another $500.

The used car market took a dive after that so your prices may reflect that.

 

I imagine if the maximum bank note term was 48 months, the perceived value & MSRP of all vehicles would self correct accordingly.

mine is priceless....to me. lol. really. if someone came up and wanted to give me $100k it's still a no. ok, well maybe for $200k i may consider but i'm attached to it. so many milestones with it since 08 with me and my family, and at 84k miles it's not even broken in.

 

They deducted money from yours because the speakers were tainted with Coldplay music.

According to NADA my 2007 has a clean trade-in value of about $6500.00 with 293,000 miles not including mods & upgrades... CARVANA offered me $528.00

 

I will give you twice the Carvana price in cash tomorrow and I am actually driving through Northern Ga then too!

 

I've had better luck with other vehicles through Vroom

 

Carvana offered me $14k for my 2014 DC with 95k miles. Blue book has a clean trade in at $18 and a private resale of $20k.

 

Well they do have to clean and refurbish them for sale and them cram them into the Vending Machines so of course they offer a Wholesale number so they can still sell high and make money on the next poor fool!

On the other hand if you need quick cash they seem to offer an option for sure.

 

The Carvana 'offer' is only about $6000.00 below the very lowest clean trade-in value before factoring in mods and accessories, Carvana is a scam.
