I really enjoyed my bottle of The Last Coat 2.0.
    ( See: https://www.tundras.com/posts/1396515 )

It lasts long and is easy to apply. I did my truck 7 to 8 times with a single bottle. The bottle costs $50.

I've not been paying attention to new products. What spray ceramic are you a big fan of?

Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 Wax is outstanding. It does seem like “ceramic” has just become a buzzword at this point though. Nearly every company is putting that on their labels now.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The word "wax" gives me anxiety. If it gets on black trim, will it dry white?

The good old paste waxes will do that. These newer spray sealants are fine on trim

Ceramic is just a word used when products contain silica aka SiO2. True ceramic coatings have 60% + SiO2 in them, most of these sprays have 3-7%. Most are pretty damn good.

I just watched this detail video about ArtDeShine nano graphene coating. It's like 200 bucks. It comes in a very fancy box. It looks like you use about 1 millionth of an ounce for an entire car.

Haven’t had an issue with it doing this. I’ve only experienced this with paste wax.

I don’t know anything about that product, but that’s really expensive.

Cool. Glad to hear it doesn't leave white marks on black trim. If there is one thing I've learned about myself in 44 years, is I like to move fast. I'll never be a "take your time and move slow and methodically" kind of person. Few things are as kicky to the balls as spending 6 hours on my truck, coming out the next day, and seeing white marks all over black trim.

I recently got a bunch of products in the Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic lineup. I used my orbital and the Polish and Wax product to polish up the very top section of the sides of the bed. I didnt tape off the plastic part that runs along the top of the bedsides (whatever thats called) and now to my dismay it is discoloured. The product works really well for polishing, but it did leave the whitish residue on the textured plastic. The spray products in the lineup do not stain anything.

Thanks for the info. I found Stoner Car Care Tarminator Bug, Tar, Sap & Grease Remover will remove the wax. Some on this forum suggest peanut butter. I can't imagine how that makes the situation better. Sounds more like a practical joke to me :)

peanut oil has been used for years as a homebrew method to renew faded motorcycle plastics (its doesnt last long but it does look nice for a bit)

I’d save the peanut butter and use some masking tape so I can still have lunch. I don’t use wax anymore so this is not a problem for me.

Another vote for Griots 3 in 1. Doesn't need much product and the results are awesome. Oh and you'll love the sprayer that it comes with. Can easily be found at Autozone.

Use a pink pencil eraser to clean the trim......follow up anything left behind with some APC and a toothbrush

My Tundra is coated with Gtechniq so I use C2 as a topper. On my wife’s vehicle I use McKees Hydroblue after every wash. It gives a nice gloss and is super hydrophobic. It makes the removal of bugs, etc a little easier but nothing like a true coating. It is literally the easiest thing ever to apply and I highly recommend it.

I'm another fan of The Last Coat/AMP products. Put 2 coats of TLC 24hrs apart when the Truck was new, did an AMP refresh before a road trip. Just washed yesterday and you would have thought I just did it a week ago. Although a BIG fan of Griot products and have used many and still use for the interior. Don't think I'll be going back to wax or technical waxes anytime soon. Oh, and only 40 minutes to apply, including door jams and engine compartment. Definitely a lot of good products out there today, wish they around in the 70's when I had to keep family cars clean to use them...lol

I recently received a basket of products from Suds Factory (family business in Hawaii) as a gift. It had some ceramic spray that tried on the truck. I missed the hood and roof because I ran out of time. We had rain and it seemed to work except for the hood and roof.

The water spot remover was more interesting to me because I have hard water out here in the country and our shower door needed attention. Lol
