As I just purchased it 3 days ago I have been searching for "needs" So far rear brakes , interior door handles , brake pedal cover , a/c knobs , carpet , seats , replace cup holder and drivers side door seal. Oh and missing 2 center caps on wheels and the glove box latch .Toyota dealer ordered what they didnt have in stock. A friend in the Used Parts business - Davidsons Used Auto Parts on East Broadway in Tampa were a great help and gave afantastic deal on great condition seats and carpet - door handles and cup holder. They are the best around Tampa . Family owned and run been going there since the 70's. Im groping for advice on how to best handle installing my 500 lb Tomny gate ( hydraulic liftgate ) on it without hurting anything. And tonight my turn indicators went kaput. Looking for advice from you out there with exp in 1st Gen Tundras. Ive always been a "Ford Man" but since a friend Paul got his Tundra I've gained a new respect for them and finally found a great deal on one thats mechanically sound and couldnt resist. I love it. The handling is great the drivetrain is surprisingly strong and smooth - the A/C is fantastic (remember I'm in Tampa). I'm out to restore her as best possible. Help me out here !

I put some bilstien 5100 up front and leveled it out. Ride quality is greatly improved with new shocks. Next is back shocks and blocks, UCA'a for the front. I only went to the second notch on the shocks to get the level. Didn't want to go to the third notch without some UCA's, was afraid of a alignment issues. 20170605_144758.jpg

I painted the chrome strips on the grille and bumper. I plan to cover the rest of the chrome. This was the trail run though. I love it.

This is motivating me to finally paint the strip on the bumper. I'm ok with the chrome on the grille but can't handle bumper.

I actually just finished up the last coat. I did some graphite colored plasti dip on the bumper piece to see if I want to do the rest of the chrome that color.

I tried plasti dip first and hated it personally. To each their own though.

It's not my favorite but worked for testing. I may do the grille and see how that looks though.

I just put Powerstop Z36 rotors and pads on my 2004 Sr5 Access Cab 4x4 and they definitely work as advertised. My next upgrade will be stainless wrapped brake lines.

    That's my favorite body style ... I wouldn't mind owning a 2nd one.

UPDATE: I ended up finding an '07 Regular Cab to go with my '02 Regular Cab.

Fixed my horn! I think previous owner had an alarm that he cut out before bringing into dealership, easily splice and now it works! Soon will be running boards, grill guard and then plastidip everything!

I had a timing belt put on my new to me 2000. Turned out it was the stock belt on 175k miles and 17 years of use. I'm glad Toyota overbuilds these things a little. I would normally have done this job myself but a stress fracture in my back said "umm no".

    17" rims...so far.
Hi Experts, I'm a newbie on here looking for some help. I have 2000 SR5 5.7L 4x4. I'm going to be putting a 2.5" lift kit and want a good "full" tire to fill well. I don't want a tire sticking way out looking like crap, though. I hear 33's a lot but it seems that's more for a 3" lift. Idk. Can ya help?

    Swapped in a Pioneer DEH-X3910BT.

I really like this deck. BlueTooth audio from my phone or direct connect via USB, USB drive playback, Handfree with remote microphone, remote control, and easy to setup and use.

I put it in in no time with all the parts and instructions from Crutchfield.

Oh, that comes with the mounting kit. When you put a single DIN in a double DIN hole Metra brand kits figured you might as well make use of that space.
