That's typical. If you want the image to stay you need to use the screen off image.

That looks great! Who builds that storage insert? Did you get it from Toyota? I want to do it now, mostly because I am jealous.

I don't know how hard the oem tailgate letters are to apply, but I got those in black. Thinking I might try my hand at it. Then again after my last debacle I'm thinking I probably could still F up the inserts, even with the letters already being stamped lol. How hard was it to get those looking right? I'm guessing pretty easy?

As others mentioned, esp is the co who makes them. Just as fyi, they also make a long box option, which obviously lends itself to the longer bang bang things. I don't have them but would love to. Everyone that does loves them. There's also a couple DIY threads on this site if u find they're too expensive for your liking.

To apply the letters: clean area to be applied to, spray light soapy water and on letters and place till your happy, press out liquid and air bubbles, dry and that’s it

I think it's a different application process for each brand of letters. Mine was a dry install. Still extremely easy for both.

Yup. For tailgate letters, I don’t believe you spray.

Not hard at all. They have a video.... I would say 10 minutes with a screwdriver and panel removal tool.

I had them in the garage - take offs from my wife's Sequoia. Just needed something to roll around on until my wheels come back.
