My buddy repainted them and the mirror cover I bought. He said some colorful words about how the paint looked but that's irrelevant because he made them look factory.

So how the handles work, they are a complete replace to my black ones, no "caps". Guess you thought they were like a cap that clips over?

Yo bro! I just grabbed the Tacoma Pro knob on the super sale. What are the instructions to make it fit with the boot I already have from ebay? I can’t find the old thread. Thanks!!

Hey Geno. Take both the shifter and boot in hand, now try sliding the boot all the way up to the bottom of shifter. By doing this u will see how there is 2 plastic tabs that won't allow it to slide up enough to stick. U need to remove both outer tabs in my pic flush to bottom. After that, U can either remove enough on both sides or do what I did. Leave the bigger double tab intact and just shave off some of the smaller singular tab. I'd remove some and attempt to slide up, repeat until it slides up. Heres a pic of the plastic tab im talking about.

Just recap, remove all of both outer bigger tabs. Then the vertical tabs can be shave down vertically, keep sliding up the boot until tight and you've taken enough off to keep it tight. I used a dremel and it worked perfect quickly.

Would you happen to know if a boot is compatible with the all black TRDPro shifter (not the Tacoma one)?

Cant speak from experience, except for the regular trd pro shifter. It's my belief that the black is the same dimensions as the stock tundra pro shifter, just black. So if I had to guess, I'd say the black tundra pro shifter is too long to fit the boot too. I mean u might be able to squeeze it on, but it's probably gonna look all crunched up boot. The tacoma shifter is shorter in vertical length allowing for the boot to slide up further and stretch out nicely. The tundra shifter is too long vertically on the bottom and causes the boot to be too scrunched up imo.

    Thank u sir.

Thanks, no problem sharing, just fyi, I have a build thread too, it's my screen name, if u want detailed info. If u rather not go through over 20+ pages here u go quick answers.
To answer ur questions quickly without trying to bore all those that heard it 100 times. Not trying to be short with u, just dont want to bore all those that are pretty familiar by now. If u want any specifics just ask in build or pm. I have no problem helping guys out, just ask.

Wheel size method 313s in 17x8.5 0 offset matte black.

Tire size pitbull rocker radial 35x12.5

Yes needed to cut front bumper and body mount chop (cmc very aggressive chop)

Bumper is SSO southern style slimline hybrid bumper OEM version with warn platinum zeon 10s winch and baja designs s8 lightbar 30" driving pattern.

Hope this helps. Not to brag but I'm guessing if u look at build thread you'll find 2 things, 1) I'm out of my mind with all the money I've spent in mods, 2) theres plenty of info there on all my craziness.

I just used a hair dryer and it wasn't difficult. Then again my truck was 3 years old when I did it, so that may have had something to do with it.

Warm it up with a heat gun and peel it. It should come off relatively easy. Thats how I did mine.

I used heat gun and it still took an hour, with lots of good gone to follow.
But I guess I'm on the same page, heat gun and peel.

The boot will fit on the shorter shifters only. If you are talking about the Tundra TRD shifter handle …..NO....the handle is too long and it would bunch up.

***Do you have a picture of the handle so I can confirm it for you?
