Tnx Jim. I love the way it looks. Still got decent amount of buttoning up to do tomorrow. Gonna try to mount spare in factory locale. Also had to chop the shit out the bmc. Didn't want to weld the plates in and paint them until I had a chance to try it out offroad, just to make sure it didn't require any further additional cutting, not like there was really any room to cut further as you can tell in pics lol. The relentless cmc plate outline was nowhere near enough. We're actually going to have to weld them in on a downward angle to get the clearance needed for the meaty ass lugs on the sidewall of these Pitbulls. Not only will we need to weld on an angle but were gonna gave to weld the plates to the inside of our cuts. The traditional go ahead and place the plate on the body mount, trace it, and cut, went out the window. We had to cut quite a bit more off and besides what I said above were even gonna have to roll a piece of metal in next to it. I'll get into more specifics of the install for anyone who cares, but this was not for the faint of heart, quite a bit of cutting was required. Probably more too tomorrow to get the 5th matching full spare to fit.

Haha yeah, and take a ding out of one of them! I think it's a buddy deal at cost, after hours project.

Edit.. bumper stripping and repair shop owes my friend a favor so that was free. I'm just paying for paint, still a side job though.

Yeah this is a good one, a more favorite thread. Every single day someone's trying to convince me to buy something here. Lots of bad influences here. It's an everyday battle.

Pitbull Rockers 35x12.5r17.
U must understand they are a very aggressive offroad tire. They are smooth up to 80mph so far, but get pretty loud around 45mph. If u want a quiet street tire these are not for you. If u want probably the most badass offroad tire u can get then these are it. I still got to put them thru the paces myself, but from what others say and I've felt in my brief experience with them they badass. I got em on my quad and hands down by far best tire I've ever owned. Hoping same results on these. So far I can tell they grip like a MFer.

 

I don’t mind the noise plus my truck sees off-road everyday and heavy mud had plenty of mud tires and don’t really want to go back but I like the aggressive look to them

Not sure how they are doing it, but they were sent out locally from the dealer. One day turn around. Id guess chemically, since its a bumper shop. They regularly strip, repair and re chrome bumpers.

 

Question for those who have swapped out the cigarette port in the lower dash to USBs... Has anyone installed a USB adapter that included USB-C (like below) for fast charge capability? Would it work? I don't know what the draw limits are on those circuits.

Sounds like u would love them, except for the price tag and not wanting to go back to mud tire.

 

Honestly no idea. I do lot of on pavement driving but plan to rotate every 5k and do a 5 tire rotation to get most life I can. I'm probably more of a 80-20 on road to off. I don't mind the hum, got a sound system to drain that out.

Hey Leo, I don't recall offhand, but it's definitely in my build thread. You can find all the details there plus a little review on it. I mostly do XM, but I still get most HD. I'd say it's a very small step down from the factory antenna. Always get reception and HD is there too, just slightly get less HD than I did with factory. It's holding up well. I like it bc the reception ain't too bad and it still got some beef to it. Looks like it belongs on a truck. Kinda middle of the road in size. They have both shorter and longer than mine. If u went next size up, I'm guessing the reception will be better than factory. It will be thicker but not as tall.
