Nothing special but made some custom brackets so I could retain my side rails and use it with my new MX4 I got for Christmas.

From TacoTunes, if you order the harness and mount kits, they are simply plug n play. you could splice the wiring and bypass their harness, but they make it so easy!

I wish I had or had access to a small press brake. I could make tons of mods I want for storage in the bed.

I made them. I had to take my bedrails off for the MX4 I received for Christmas. So I made them.

I was under the impression that if you order the correct kit from BAK that they supply the brackets for you. The one I rec’d didn’t come with them, so I had to improvise. Let me know how your MX4 install goes, whether or not you have to ditch your bedrails or not. I’d be interested to know.

My cover is coming with the relocation plates but when watching the video it looks like just relocating the rail with a flat plate it would not be strong enough to tie something to it. Looks like leverage will not be kind to it. That’s why I was thinking of rivnuts

A little of this and a little of that.

I used some 10 gauge sheet I had lying around. It’s plenty strong. One rail can hold me and i’m 212. Not sure about the relocation one’s that come with the kit. My rail will fail before my brackets will.

Thanks. It actually is a good amount of lift. I had it leveled before with a spacer in the front and I was surprised at the difference in height after the Icons.

Changed out all the dash speakers.... added a subwoofer and amp... and a 41” light bar. The speakers made a BIG difference.... next up will be the door speakers.
