Your truck, your call, just my opinion, I'd reverse it if it was mine. Go black badge with red letters, I've seen it before and looks great, then if there was a way to do the limited and tundra 2 tone same. Black letters and the surround of them in red would look dope. Just my 2 cents. Again, u the only 1 who gotta like it.

If there was no way to do it that way and u wanted to keep the lettering limited in red, maybe by making tundra black, then doing the black 5.7 badge with red letter,, just reverse what u got, would tie them all in together. Would have to see it but just a thought. Good luck anyway u go with it.

I think a black base with red highlights in all 3 is the way to go with it. That imo would prob look sick. Black badge, red highlight reverse what u got, then all letters in black with the outside edges in red is your ticket. Mock em up and if u like it I'm pretty sure u could get a powder coated to do it that way. Prob not too expensive either. Plus I've never seen anyone with what I'm telling to do. That's always a bonus when no one else has and it looks great. Hashtag trend setter lol

Haha..Your next tundra should be a platinum or above. With memory seats you can program one button to take u all the way as far back as it goes and then push your own button to bring you back to your sweet spot. Problem solved

Finally got my light bar installed. Still needs a little work on the brackets, had to fab some up and cant get them to hold the bar from tilting. Wasn't able to use the supplied splined mounts. However thanks to @iHacker for helping me wire it up to my factory fog switch.

I'm with you man. All these guys have been awesome when it comes to detailing information. I've never really been into it and it was always a chore. Turns out I have been doing it all wrong and the hard way for years. Not i find it pretty relaxing and so much easier. Seeing some of the trucks in here just makes me wanna learn more and do more to keep mine looking good.

Tnx brother, with proper care I'm told I can get at least 2 years out of it. I'm hoping since it's garaged kept I can get even longer out of it. Guess we'll see, time will tell. Initial impressions, it looks amazing. The real benefit is how it stays clean longer and makes cleaning it way easier. Just hoping all I've heard about it is true. So far it seems so and I'm very impressed.

What do you guys think about something like these for the side door badge? Faux badge similar to the tacoma pro badge. Was thinking of having it say TUNDRA instead.

What paint did you use on the chrome trim around shifter and cup holder? Looks good and I need to do this. @jewsNbrews

Also look into some aerospace 303 protectant for interior, you'll like it and get better results than armourall. Offers great UV protection as well.

I used flat black trim and patch paint by duplicolor aerosol. 4 coats. I used it cause I already had it. If the paint chips or doesn't hold up I will redo with either plastidip or wrap. It held on pretty good didn't run so will see how it holds up.

Thanks bud. I need to do this project soon. The chrome looks like crap in that area, gets smudged and now and then it really reflects some sunlight right in my eye. I don't mind the chrome vent trim rings just that damn cupholder trim drives me nuts

Do it. Seriously I thought it would be a pain in the ass. Actually rather easy to disassemble and reassemble. Hardest part is taping it off and painting, waiting, painting, ect but I decided since I went on a camping trip last weekend I needed to detail, so I did it in between cleaning interior and exterior of the truck.

I like it so far but dimming is not working on the switch pad with the headlights on. Seems as though no programming works so the lights come on with the IGN off. I’m going to call calirasiedled today.

That looks good. The inserts (what you have in black) is available on Amazon as vinyl, so you can just have the whole thing painted red and then apply the vinyl, so it does not have to be taped and cut. Or paint the whole badge black and apply red vinyl; either way will look good.
I have applied black vinyl to my chrome Tundra badges. In hindsight I wish I had them painted red before applying the black, since I want to add some red accents also.
