Same here bro. Truck is warranted for so many miles and of course if anything happens to our trucks within the warranty they have to take care of it. But changing the oil more frequently will provide more protection down the road after the warranty is up

So of course I have to pay for the oil change that's in between the recommended mileage but at least they pay for the next Oil Change and so on and so forth

I blacked out the badge surfaces today. I hate chrome, but leaving a little bit around the edges sets it off good. It ties in good with the iforce badge that has the black & chrome mixed. IMG_20180210_145905.jpg

It is the Rough Country cover .I think most of them are about the same, just rebadged to the seller's name. Anyway, I am pleased with it. I am on my phone now and not sure how to get the link on here, but if you google Rough Country Tonneau it will come up. very easy install and I had to remove it this morning to load something big, and it took about 1 minute to take off.

    Let's try the link:
    http://www.roughcountry.com/exterio...le_make=18&vehicle_model=320&vehicle_year=337

LOL, probably time to go inside now. Looking around under the truck I saw that the TRD logo is coming off the sway bar, so I glued it back on.

Where are you seeing airbag recall? It's just to "have the center air bag sensor assembly software updated".

I have a 2018 tundra but don't know what issues you're talking about. I did have some weird issues with Pre colission warnings happen when no vehicle was around, and then this light came on even when it was turned on. 20180206_135510.jpg
    20180206_135443.jpg
The service department ran some test and couldn't find anything, no recordings from the computer. But my warning to brake would go off with nothing in site. Wasn't sure if weather conditions like light fog did it or what.

That's criminal. There are only 6 bolts. So, you'd be paying $25 bucks ea. to remove and reinstall a frickin' bolt. You can buy the tools and save $100. It requires a 17mm and a 19mm. It took about 6 min. for me to pull mine out yesterday and of those minutes 4 were wrestling it out 'cause I didn't pull the skid.

    Yup, better!

Issues like you're having, mostly. And one guy whose horn blasts when he puts the truck in gear. Weird electrical stuff.

Toyotas have a great rep for durability but any "new" electrical/ design stuff takes a while to get all bugs out, which is why I wanted a '17, last in a series of many years without design changes, instead of a "new improved" model.

I hope your issues are among those that can be fixed with a software update. Please keep us posted.

I have an '18 and haven't had any issues at all. I stopped in to buy an oil filter for my Corolla yesterday and asked the service dept if they're seeing many '18s come in for the electronic issues. The Service Mgr said he's had one come in (out of approximately 20 '18s they've sold) and they had to replace a couple of sensors ... he said Toyota got a bad batch of sensors at the factory that affected a small production run and that's what we're reading about on the forums. He said Toyota has it figured out now and there may be a small recall for those affected. He said he hasn't seen anything in writing, just what he's heard in conversations with corporate. Don't know if there's any truth in what he told me, you know how stealerships are...

I installed mine this morning in about 40 minutes. Eight total bolts (2 connecting the end links to the frame, 2 connecting the end links to the sway bar, and 2 on each side connecting the saddle brackets and sway bar to the rear axle), a 19mm socket, 19mm wrench, a 22mm socket, torque wrench and you're good to go. There is enough room to crawl under your truck and install with no jacks. $125 installation fee is ridiculous to me.

The instructions Toyota provides are actually pretty good. It will probably take you more time to unpack the box and gather your tools than it will to complete the install. Read the instructions a couple of times before you start and it will be a piece of cake.

It's really not. There are plenty of youtube videos to watch first and as mentioned in a previous post, the directions included are really good.

Added LED foglights, the TRD rear sway bar, powerfold towing mirrors, and the TRD shift knob in the last few weeks.

The first video for the powerfold mirrors got me part way, but there's a write-up on another tundra forum that was much better.

So can you add power mirrors? What button plus them in?
