Just figured I'd let u guys know here since it gets lot of traffic. For anyone interested in the DAP tune, on page 8 of my build thread, I did a pretty thorough and what I feel to be informative post, on just what the tune does for me and my experience with different octane. The post on pg 8 says dap tune update, hope it helps anyone of interest.

Got the front and transmission skid installed tonight. Need to install the gas skid tomorrow.

 

Finally got some half way decent weather around Ohio (mid 40's which is a heat wave). Was able to install my new stubby antenna from Theantennasource.com, tailgate letter inserts, and threw some black color lugs on. Nothing major, but it was nice to be able to finally get some of my xmas presents put on.....now to figure out the lift/level.....

 

Front grill replacement and tow hoop replacement.

I took out my rigid flood pods and installed the rigid DOT fog light pods. Rewired the fog light switch for anytime fogs, added a k&n drop in filter and added soft trifold box cover to keep the snow out.

 

I've had my retrofit headlights just over a year now. If I were to sell them, do you think the warranty goes with them to the new owner?

 

Once you get the gas skid installed post some pictures and thoughts on it. A few of us have concerns with fitment and the exposed nuts.

 

Put this on last week I love it Says its a 3/2 lift but it measures out more like a 4/3+ a little

 

How do you like the DOT fogs? I had the Rigid dually kit on my previous Tundra, but I couldn’t use them in town unless I angled them way down... plus they weren’t the easiest things to adjust...

 

should have gone color matched, black or even chrome.... or are you sponsored by pepsi?

 

Wonder how this setup would handle just the occasional off roading. Nothing serious, mostly dirt road and easy trails. truck is mostly a blacktop queen.

 

Night and day difference I leave them on all the time. Ppl haven’t flashed me yet. They’re a nice flat wide light and they were on sale for the same price as the dually kit so why not try them out. I’m gonna mount my duallys up on my hood/pillar mounts when the brackets come in.

 

Busy night last night...I switched out the chrome door handles and mirror caps for matte black, and installed my BA Muffler 8" system...couldn't be happier with the rumble!

 

This should give you an idea of the type of output the have. Very flat and wide, only way your getting flashed is if you point the up. Great lights

These are the rigid dot compliant lights. Camera work was courtesy of a crazy foggy night we had couple if days ago. It really showed off how flat and wide the beam is. Are there other lights that have more output, of course. But I like the fact that I can run them with zero issue. Plus they match my rigid 30" pro nicely

 

Can control those on/off, or are they on whenever the headlights are on? They look awesome but, here in SoCal, I'd definitely get pulled over if they're on driving on the roadway. But if love to have these for off-road, or long stretches of night driving in unlit rural areas.

Edit: I was wrong. I'm pretty sure these are fully allowable in CA.

 

I have them hooked up to the factory fog switch. They function just like the factory fogs. They sell a plug and play harness too so there is no cutting. Its a great set up

 

Why would you get pulled over for running dot fogs? I think you should be good. Ca allows up to 4 front facing lights on at same time.

 

Gen 3 Headlight revolution LED headlight bulbs. Super easy install, a bit pricey but definitely worth the ease of use. 6000k temp, an exact match to my LED fogs...

Mid install, was surprised by a few things during in the process. 1) Lower clips in grille are stronger than I would have guessed 2) No need to remove bolts inside of wheel wells 3) Start to finish, only took 40 min.

Finally hooked up the grill LEDs... went to a wedding and another lifted tundra parked by me lol badass white tundra with A fabfours bumper and 37x12.5.... but that backlit grill though
