Interior and engine bay detail today. I wont use copious amounts of water in the engine bay so its not perfect, but got rid of all of the mud splatters in there.

Wow that looks really good. Good job. How long does that coating last? Is it just like automotive paint? I really like it. Subtle but clean.

Yes that's Dupont clear coat with plasticizer and hardener and black base coat all mixed together. It will last a good 10 years

Exactly why I'm keeping my pro stock suspension. It looks nasty but it blows when you take the family out on the city and can't park in any garages. Worst feeling I ever felt was in my 2012 dc tundra with lift. Pulled into a parking garage not thinking of it and all of a sudden...crunch bang boom!. I looked up and the height marker was sitting on my windshield  thought to myself..never again..

Is it wrong to spend the afternoon detailing the wifes car, to make sure the new detailing stuff you picked up is good enough for the tundra?:crapstorm:

Yep. Although I must admit that I get a little nervous when my wife drives my truck because I fear she’ll not park right and get a door ding or worse make some idiot mad at her parking job (which is easy to do) and get some key damage or something.

I don't like my wife's driving enough to just let her drive my truck. She has, but I had no choice but to let her drive it. I was nervous as hell.

My wife drove the tundra to work today so I could detail and do some work on her car (Honda Fit). I felt naked the whole day till she got back. ( last time she drove it I ended up with a rock chip in the windshield)
