What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

See i like that stance alot. I need the spacer!!very well done!

 

Took as many as i could.. Light was burning up. They sit pretty much flush. Either i different rim with a negative offset or like @mgm16trdpro has the 1.25 spacer. Probably after i shake the $1400 off from the tires im gonna grab the spacers... Or comb the market place for some.... my wife is gonna be furious..

If u look at my build thread there's a bunch more pics. Imo it's the perfect amount. I already had the flares when I put spacers,tires, shim and shackle all at once and I loved the look so much I had a very hard time still putting the flares on.

Just do yourself a favor and don't go cheap on spacers. Imo I wouldn't buy used either. It's not something u want to mess with. Unless u can find someone selling them new or put on and immediately taken off. I also wouldn't buy any spacer other than spidertrax or bora. U will find cheap ones and used for much less but imo the money u save there could end up costing u much more after putting cheap or used on. When u get a new great brand it's almost the same as running an offset rim. If u go cheap it could lead to big problems, damage, handling, and even injury.

Imo I'd shy away from any other than the two I mentioned and even those if they weren't put on and immediately taken off. They'd have to be pretty much new. Imo just something that's worth spending the money and doing it right the 1st time.

 

Im with it man. Hahah she knows about my problem and blames only me.. Do you have to check them constantly? Im hearing they are a lot of maintinance? Ya im all set with a cheap hoopty pair. I would be pretty upset if i was on the highway and suddenly one of my rims decides it doesnt want to play today and takes off on me hahah. Soooooo.....i know you're not on the book of face....but.....

 

I did ton of research on spacers as I wasn't crazy about going that route initially but really like the pro rim. However after the research and speaking with many intelligent truck guys here and outside I found those 2 brands best. I did find a little bit of neg reviews on bora but almost zero on spidertrax. I drive my kids daily so spidertrax it was. Def do ur research, to find for yourself, but imo it was new spidertrax or new wheels. I didnt want to experience my wheel falling off, or poor handling, ect by saving a few bucks on used or less expensive spacers. I put the money I'd spend on the method rims into other mods lol.


Even to this day I question myself daily on flares or not. I'm 50/50 on it, but since I already paid like 600 for them and the protection they offer make my decision to remove even harder.

 

No prob, glad I can help. I do zero maintenance to them besides when I first installed them I checked a couple k miles after to make sure they were still good. Never had an issue and since then I've checked them once and they were still perfectly fine. Since I went bigger tire I think they actually helped the handling along with bunch of other goodies.
Just my opinion, but if I was you I wouldn't buy cheap or used. It's just not worth the little bit of money you'll save. With my spidertrax, I got with 8 k, I checked with like 10k, and again around 14k. I don't feel the need to ever check again or do anything maintenance wise unless something happens that causes concern. Besides that first couple checks, I've heard you should be good on them.

The dealer stuck their $200 Tundra lettering on it before I picked it up. I personally don’t care for them, looked bad with the cement color. Stuck the R back on for you.

 

I've purchased from Sparks in the past, haven't been on the site much as I've been traveling lately. Thanks for all the info!
