What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Just curious, I love mine. None the less, great choice on the lightbar and looks great.

Did you have to pull your factory rails or did the line-x place do that? Looking to get mine done in the near future

 

Gave it a bath and also removed the fender flares.

Thanks!! It’s a lund bull bar....comes with a lightbar in it but I wasn’t impressed so I swapped it out for a little better one and added the 30” behind the bumper as well. Both of them came from superbrightleds.com, they’re pretty close to my town in shipping terms and have always had great customer service in my experiences.

 

Welcome! I will check them out. Thanks for the info. I have seen so many different ones but have not really liked where the lights were in the others. I like where the light bar is. I also like the second light bar in the bumper. Does it cast a lot of shadow from the second light bar because of the bull bar?

 

Don't know if u like or want to spend this much but the bumper is from sso and you won't need a 2nd lightbar if u get the same Baja designs s8 lightbar. Just throwing it out there to ya trying to help.

 

That is a nice looking set up. I think that it would be a little out of my price range right now. I do like the single light bar. I am going to keep looking for something. Thanks for the idea.

 

I do lose some light from the 30”.....I plan on either moving it to the hood bulge or getting a 40” and putting it in the bulge at some point

 

so has anyone pulled off the black vinyl between the front/rear windows (b pillar door frames) and done a comparison of before and after on how it looks color matched?

 

No the end caps are painted. The center came off a platinum truck.

Line X shop pulled the rails for me and sprayed under them.

 

Managed to find a canopy in stock and had it installed today. It's an ARE CX and I'm very happy with how much room I've got to play with in the back now

 

Noticed this in the morning

 

replaced 3rd brake light bulb that was out

 

Having a cap makes it so much easier. Especially with me getting around with my dogs. I also purchased the ARE cap and I am very happy with it. I had to custom order it due to my midnight black color plus I wanted it badgeless

 

Was checking my fluids. Actually needed to add a half quart of oil. I'll be monitoring that. The engine bay was a bit dusty so I went at it with some simple green then some 303. Nothing crazy, just spent abiu t 5 minutes wiping stuff down.

That does look pretty sweet! Custom order was something I wanted to avoid - it would have been an 8 week wait (minimum) and I would have needed to pay freight to Australia. I couldn't even get the Leer distributor in Australia to talk to me, and the snugtop people took ages to respond and were too expensive for my budget. ARE was a fluke - found it at the dealer I bought my vehicle from - they only had one and it was in white and they gave me a really good price (well for down here! Still hideously expensive compared to what you guys pay). Now just to convince the wife it's worth $3k for Decked drawers

 

Super easy. The back cover of the console pops off. Snip wires on lighter. Solder wires to USB socket. Replace console. I think I put more details somewhere on my build page. I used a Blue Sea USB socket.
