i was looking at some Other USA made shackles that were $100 each so not far off. I’m impatient so went the $5 route for now and spray painted. I like the clean look of those mounts too image.jpg

I haven’t done this yet, but decided I was going to when one kids iPad died in 6 hours after day 3 in the car. The ensuing disaster was narrowly avoided since we were 30 minutes from home.

That boot might solve my plan!

The 3rd gen Tacoma's have a boot and I have a few buttons wired in the TRD PRO knob (ECT and Garage door) and an LED in the knob. was needing to hide all of the wires. Still would need some more parts and find the right knob.

    Interesting.

Could cut the wires, run extension wire, and solder some other interior LED's for accent lighting. Could use any color LED. I did red in my cup holder area

    Tacoma example.

    upload_2021-7-2_15-21-24.jpg

Edit: I guess that light function wouldn't work for accent since it only comes on when the door opens. Could used pig tail harness on a stock and or aftermarket illuminations switches that run 's off the panel circuit so it comes on when parking lights are engaged on the headlight stalk

Nice. I have black 701s on order from Tire Rack. Bought May 28 and were backordered. They say ship late July.

Would you share buy date, if backordered, etc?

Maybe I get an early present?

Got the last part for my 6112/5160 setup, Westcott collars and there’s a part I’m not too sure what it is. Maybe a shim?

Not sure? Maybe a short or surge occurred. You do a reset and disconnect the battery for a while?

I did all six in my Tacoma. Much better but still needs and amp or at least the kicker key to bump it up a bit. Still happy with it

Do I have to use it alongside the collars for a 3” lift?

Did you get the kit for 5100s? I believe you add the collars with the perch set at top, then add the shims to complete the lift.

edit: saw your reply about 6112s. Same idea.

How much time do you have? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .......... Eaton rear eLocker, Camburg 1.5” shackles, Rear Seat Delete, S&B CAI, sPOD, Air Bag Helpers w/ Daystar Cradles, RCI engine & fuel tank skid plates, ABS Guards, Job Box Storage, Tailgate Power Lock, Desert Eagle Offroad tranny/cat security skid plate, Added Driver’s Side Grab Handle, VLEDS Footwell & Step Lighting, Anytime Front Camera, Illuminated Ignition Ring, Console Molle Panel, Sound Dampening in Ceiling/Doors/Floor, Yakima Rack, Paracord Grab Handle Wraps, BD Underhood Light, Tuffy Console Safe Insert, WeBoost System, Midland GMRS Radio, Console Interior Lighting, Power Inverter, Custom Center Switch Panel, and Dual Air Compressors
Can I get a hallelujah and an amen?

King 2.5 OEM shocks installed on the front and rear. Started with the easier rear shocks first. Added 1/8” rubber sheet to the driver’s side as a rock shield.

    32DAE054-0D3F-48E0-8C64-3DA197F05156.jpg

After working up the courage, next was the King 2.5 OEM extended travel coilovers with 650lbs spring rate on the front. Also swapped in SPC UCAs. Dear Santa, if you’re listening, all I want for Christmas this year is a 40” breaker bar.

    UCAs going in:

    4532EBF5-B732-424B-8DBE-939FC00BEA72.jpg

Coilovers installed. The craftsmanship on these is a thing of beauty.
    A5D703EA-60A1-49C9-924C-1C3CB5474088.jpg

Stats for the front (Didn’t get measurements for the back):

    Front passenger side @ 35 psi -

From ground to fender: 35 5/8”; after King install: 37 1/2”
From center hub to fender: 21”; after King install: 22 3/8”

    Front driver side @ 36 psi -

From ground to fender: 36 3/16”; after King install: 37 1/2”
From center hub to fender: 21 1/4”; after install: 22 1/2”

The fronts were ordered with a two inch lift. Looks like the weight from the bumper and winch accounted for ~3\4”.

    0EAB6848-D5AF-4BAA-A2D5-EA2F151E8C46.jpg

I want to put another 10k on the stock tires before replacing them with Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs. I’ll have to wait till next week for the alignment - ugh, want to get the truck on the road.

Many thanks to everyone on the forum that shared their experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly) with installing shocks and UCAs. The info was invaluable. Special thanks to @csuviper for posting the suspension torque specs - very helpful and saved me from hunting for the info.
