Yeah the matte black are just meh and get lost. I haven’t seen anyone around town with these Methods so looking forward to something a bit different. Hopefully they will look good on my otherwise Stormtrooper Tundra

This happened when I debadged my last Tundra. I love the debadged look but am too scared that it will happen again.....

Great excuse for a paint correction and ceramic coat. In the shop for that now.

Nice. I almost pulled the trigger on those, but went with the Roost's instead.

Thank you! It was cleaned as thoroughly as I could get it. After painting the whole engine cover and letting it cure, I coated everything including the black with Rustoleum 2X glossy clear. It made the dull black much brighter.

Installed the 3W window mod and ran the wires for a dash cam. Holy hell was fishing the power cable through the door grommet a bitch.

The mod isn't working though but I ran out of daylight. Need to test power tomorrow. Bah.

Stupid dash cam power wires are like 12" short of where they need to be so I have to go buy some wires to extend them .

It latches like a tonneau cover with a solid aluminum flat bar that will roll up with the window and has a buckle at the top to secure it open. One of the main reasons I went with fas-top compared to other brands that the bar removes and only held by plastic clips.

    Not sure at this point.
Plasti-dipped front bumper caps yesterday. A little runny, but from afar looks good!

First time ever playing around with plasti-dip. Going to do the rears today.

I used the iHacker harness that was completely plug and play, which I believe means the DRL's are on at all times. He has a couple different options, but I was not about to try and splice or run through the firewall to the dash, as I am NOT savvy in electrical at all. Get ahold of him, he is awesome and will go over all options with you.

Nice find. Yeah the pump bearings corrode and lock up if they sit too long without being used. That's why you see so many for sale that say "new water pump".

From afar, it looks amazing. One thing I’d suggest is definitely be aware of where you add masking tape so that way it covers all the area you don’t want sprayed, but areas needed to be sprayed won’t be covered by masking tape.

I mistakenly had 2 corners of the masking tape had overlapped the chrome, so if you looked real closely, you’d see the 2 spots I missed.

It was pretty hot yesterday in CT, so I didn’t really wait for the actual 30 mins of drying time. Did 4-5 coats I think.

I used rubber undercoating to dechrome my hood bulge. Will be doing same for the grill surround in the next day or so.
This is what I used. 20210607_182005.jpg

    Anyone else use this stuff?
