Looks good. Can you split screen with any of the programs and do your steering wheel controls still work with the unit?

I'll let him answer the color but many of us have done this. I just did a light scuff and degrease and then used some primer right over the black. Depending what shape yours are in you might just need to clean. I have yet to attach anything to mine so I did put some clear coat over my paint to help protect it but I know the clear is not strong enough if I actually use as an attach point. Be sure to check your frame at the attach point too. I had minor surface rust that I took care of before re-attaching tow hooks.

Damn i wish they never got rid of the ability to set different seat settings. Really would come in handy when the wife borrows the truck to run errands.

Thank you Sir! Appreciate the respone, what did you do to take care of the minor surface rust? I do have rust in a few spots on rear that I want to fix.

Pretty standard Apple CarPlay split screen between music map and call status. Kept the steering wheel controls for up down track selection and volume up down. Had to use an adapter but the adapter came with a full wiring harness so I actually saved some money.

I just had minor rust where the hooks attached. I bought a wire wheel drill attachment and used that. Worked like a charm. I then painted the frame and put some clear on it to try and help. I used the Rustoelum 2X for the paint and the clear. Its not automotive clear but it should help in this area.

His looks similar to my color, but Rust-Oleum gloss cherry red is what I used and it matches my TRD sway bars pretty well. For prep, I cleaned with a degreaser, then scuffed with sandpaper, cleaned with paint thinner, then sprayed 4-5 coats

Then installed some VLAND Headlights that I picked up on eBay. My OEM 15 headlights were long past due.

Removed the I-force badges from the doors. Left it sit in the 90 degree heat for a few hours and then used 30 lb mono to saw through the glue. It went a little slow at first, but kept sawing and it started cutting like a hot knife through butter. It left about an 1/8 inch thick slab of adhesive that peeled up with moderate difficulty using my finger. I used goo gone to clean up a little residue. Looks great. It’s a 2020, so the glue was new and soft.

Good find there! I’m debating getting one. I’d like something that locks though. Not sure if that will be possible with the tonneau.

I finished putting all the decals on my truck today. Spacing on the right side could have been better, but did not want to give the appearance I was trying to be symmetrical.

Texas Flag - Comes with the truck.
UM Gopher - Where I went to engineering school
UT and A&M - Where my sons went to engineering school
Titleist - Probably the most iconic golf logo ever
St Croix Rods - My favorite fishing rods
Led Zeppelin IV Side I record label - yeah I like classic rock!
Grand Cayman 7 Mile Beach - My favorite place in the world.
DOD - Where i worked my entire career
PXG Golf - Recently bought some of their irons...had to have it

Up to this point in my life, I would never consider putting a decal on any vehicle, but here I am putting multiple decals on the most expensive vehicle by far that I have ever owned...go figure.

Busy day finished the install, I normally don't post about customer service, but Ryan at Harrop was awesome super fast response. Can't wait to get into the throttle, still have 700 miles togo before the new gears are broken in. Now just waiting on the wheels to come in and the build should be done.

I used to be like that. As I’ve gotten older I’ve become more comfortable doing that kind of stuff, and more importantly, I care less about keeping everything in perfect condition. I’ve read a lot about here about it figured if all these other people did it, I can do it too. Plus I just found out that the Super White Tundras don’t have a clear coat, so one less thing to f#ck up.

Let the badges sit in the sun for a while on a warm day and they’ll come off like butter with some floss or fishing line. The newer the truck the easier it should be.

I did damage my paint doing this last Friday. Two spots the size of my pinky nail, took the paint off all the way down to the metal. The good of this is the IForce badge was trapping water behind it so that's been fixed. I plan to ceramic coat it at a shop and will have them do the repair. I am assuming it's an easy fix. Right now I have painters tape over the spots with the hope that it prevents oxidation and rust.

Upset it happened, happy the trapped water is gone and I'm badge free.
