Tires! BFG KO2s. I was convinced 305 70 R18 wouldn't fit on the upper control arms but so far so good. Discount Tire had to convince me - most of what I read suggested 305 65 R18 would work but not the 70 ratio. For those wondering, 295 70 R18 KO2s won't ship until 2022, per BFGoodrich. Discount claims the 65 ratio need a 8.5" rim.

I think it looks good but I'm paranoid about rubbing still. The old tires were so loud that it's eerie to drive this thing. I can now hear the suspension in the truck and since it's new to me, and now without noise covering it, I'm worried every squeak and rattle is a result of the new tires.

Yeah, good eye! Incredible product quality. It was the lowest profile winch bumper I could find. Only thing about it was the winch fairlead. I got a Smitty 97495 winch for it, which comes with a roller fairlead. The face of the winch opening on the bumper points downward and, on a non-lifted truck, it’s a little too close to the ground for my liking (13”). Bought a Hawse fairlead and a shackle for the tongue... still some tweaks to do, but it’s near perfection for me.

The OEM is made by Amp-Research, so they're one in the same. I did buy through Toyota, though, as Sparks had it for $220 - best price I could find for it. It lists for $270 for the Tundras, $30 more than the normal $240 list price since the Tundra needs an additional bracket. The bracket replacement is the most difficult/time consuming aspect of the job, mainly moving plastic bumper pieces to get at the bracket bolts.
It functions fine, aesthetically isn't to obnoxious, and is plenty robust. I recommend it.

I love the subtle flex, and it doesn't come across as intentional either. haha! Great car. I'm gonna show my son your DIY bed lights (he's taking over my 2014 Tundra) as an idea for his own and see how many seconds it takes him to notice. He's been car obsessed for years.

100 year old man getting interviewed by a reporter on his 100th birthday. Reporter asks,, "Sir, to what do you attribute your great age?"

Old man looks at the reporter like he's an idiot and replies. "To the fact that I haven't DIED yet!"

I maintain that I'm not old; I'm only 22. I just have 38 years experience at being 22!

I have the same phone and wireless charger. My case makes my phone larger and it still fits in the spot. The cubby is about 1/2" larger then the stock cubby. Hope this helps.

Nice to see someone take time out of their day to give a shout out. So many times we take things for granted and forget that someone like CD offers their talent to others. Thank to both of these guys!

Got sick of not having a good place to secure my trailer hitch when I'm not using it. I don't have enough room in the under seat storage boxes and didn't like having a chunk of steel rolling around in the bed.

I picked up a (I'd never use one for ACTUAL towing, but this seems like a good use) and bolted it to the cargo rail.

Seems to work well. and for $20 and all of about 5 minutes to install not a bad deal. I might drill the hole for the pin through the "top" so I can rotate the ball, but I'll roll with this for a while an see how it work.

Nice idea. Especially since just south of you in Marxachusetts, it's apparently illegal to have the hitch in the receiver if you're not actually towing a trailer. Although I've never had a cop ever say anything to me about it.

Makes perfect sense, we can't punish those that rear end us because of driving while texting with some extra damage from our hitches.... Those poor people need protecting.

Starting the slow build to armorizing... :transformer:

    Started with C4 sliders.

Theses are the most beefy, frame-mounted, non-weld sliders I’ve seen.

Thanks to @CorsoTundra for the great deal!

I've lived just north of the border for 50 years. Never had any one bother me either. That said, I don't tow that often but want to have the hitch with me and accessible.

Plus, I don't like having the hitch in when I'm not towing anyway (I've lost too much blood from my shins over the years).

Seriously?.... I don't think my hitch has been removed longer than 5 minutes, just to move it, oil it up, and re-install it just in case I NEED to pull it for a larger ball. What kind of nonsense is that?????
