Lift will be installed this weekend, just making sure the balancing weights clear the calipers, which they do!

Thinking of getting window tinting done. (Maybe all four sides and the back if beneficial for heat reduction) I’m sure there’s a thread but that’s too much reading. o_O Looking to go with carbon or ceramic, and not sure about tint percentages. Cost isn’t really an issue if the price to benefit ratio is worth it. Willing to go a little darker than legal here in VA, but not too crazy. Recommendations before I do it?

I'm not familiar with carbon, but if you are going to spend money on this at least go ceramic over basic tinting. Now that I know more I wish I had paid a little more to get ceramic tint. It drastically reduces the heat. Mine has basic darker tint, helps some with heat but I'll be getting ceramic tint here in the future. Pay once and do it right.

Received and installed my sub upgrade from Tech12Volts! Loving the sound, and it was super easy to install. I cut the wires to the stock sub so I could still use the clip connector.

Rocking mine also, need to get the rest of the system upgrade but wife says I have to wait until the end of the year. She needs something to buy me for Christmas/Anniversary/Birthday.

This upgrade is just enough for me, I don't think I'll need any more.

That’s what I was thinking. One companies top line is 3M Crystalline (full ceramic), would be $599 for all sides and rear shield and states it blocks 97% of infrared heat. Next one down is $150 less, blocks 80 to 95, and is a ceramic material.

That doesn't sound horrible. In Texas, I would go for the 97% blocking one but you know your environment more than me to know if it's worth the extra 150.

I installed his 8" system in my 2017 Tundra and I love it, I'm debating if I should install the resonator or not, I wonder if it will quiet it down a little.

Cant remember VAs laws, I was stationed down there for five years with 20% all around and was never given any trouble by anyone..

I’m from Michigan originally, yeah up there heat can be welcomed. I think fronts here are 20 but was thinking of doing 30/35 and then darker in the back. New to this so may have the numbers wrong. Seems he said the backs are 50 already.

I did the ceramic, 20% all around and clear on the front. Here in Arizona, and with a black truck, I felt that the top of the line was worth it. I’m not going to speak for anyone’s financial situation, but you’ll probably have this truck for many years, so a couple hundred extra is a small price to pay. The brand I got was Formula One Stratos, UV blocking and infrared absorbing. The shop I went to had displays set up with different levels of heat blocking and heat lamps behind them, to feel the difference. The difference between standard tint and even the low level ceramic was significant. I bet shops in your area have similar displays, I’d check it out.

I checked off another two interior lighting projects...

I added a third light in the bottom left corner of the glove box.

    Thanks Adam!
Like others, I am sure enjoying finding things to tinker on this rig! Next I am looking into adding (blue-to match the dash) accent lighting in each of the door handles that will come on with the illumination circuit. To think, all the exterior stuff on the list that I still have scheduled to start-finish... I need some additional summer!

    Cheers!

Splash guards yes. Not too fond of the stock ones. Only ones I've come across are some mammoth ones that I believe are way over priced. Any other options?
