Installed my bed and under hood lights from @mattgecko. Install was a breeze and I'm very happy with the way they turned out. However, I now can see how dirty my engine bay is lol.20200426_200722.jpg 20200426_200930.jpg

Looks like some scrap tin and 4 self tappers or something with a nutzet. Great idea! I may do this myself.

Id suggest you look into TRD or RCI skid plates, then you have a better idea of this topic.
I’ve had the full line of RCI skids.
I’m on a tight budget this year, so I just modified my stock one.
    Hope that helps you. :hattip:

The 4 bolts are security bolts.
Now that I’ve informed all of this ... I used 16 gauge metal for the mod.

Nice!! Was it easy routing the cables from the bed? I'm going to have to look into this!

Looks good man!...I have blue LEDs in my bed on a dimmer, they def come in handy on early morning/late evening fishing/hunting trips!...love being able to dim them all the way down or crank em all the way up, put some in my interior on a separate dimmer as well

Scooped an RCI skid off of OfferUp for $175 local, didnt come with the front grade 8 carriage bolts for the plastic on the front bumper so I had to use some stainless I had in garage already.

Fumoto and oil filter housing came in. Waiting on my MotivX tool and hose thingy to come in and I'll finally be ready for a painless, no-mess oil change!

Map light switch came in to fix my faulty light on driver side. I'll get that swapped when the interior lights come in later this week.

Thanks! It wasn't too bad, just a little tricky getting my hands in the spots to zip tie the wire in. I tried keeping it between the frame and the bed. And then routing it into the engine bay from underneath was a bit of a challenge. If you have a helper, it would make it much easier. I definitely recommend it though. Matt's kit is the way to go IMO.

Thanks bro! I got the remote as well for the same reasons. I like how your interior turned out, too. I might have to do that at some point...

I have the same PowerTrax cover and bedrug, and I just ordered my bed lights - though I went with white rather than blue. You have good taste. :)
