those do like nice but quite a bit more than I want to spend....started out looking at 5100’s for around $550 installed now looking at ones for almost a grand just for the shocks. Install looks pretty straight forward from videos of have watch so may try to do it myself so I can put the labor costs towards nicer equipment but have never done it before....damn these trucks lol

If your looking at $1000, then $1300 isnt that big of a jump. I have been looking at those as well

no, not that big of a jump from $1000 but originally was set on 5100’s which are like $225....just looking for an almost 2 inch lift and if I can improve the ride in the process that would be ideal, but hearing more that a few times that the $
5100’s don’t really accomplish that. I do dig the red option on the Toytec though....I can afford to to whatever lift I want (or that the wife would allow lol) but can’t really justify spending that much for what I want to accomplish.

Install is easy. A helper to help push down the LCA makes it easier so you don’t have to loosen the LCA cam bolts.

ToyTec did recommend aftermarket UCA’s for these though.

because of the 3” lift or due to the coil diameter?

Guessing because of the overall size where the UCA wraps around it. It states this recommendation on the product page on the website. I already had Camburg UCA’s when I ordered them so I didn’t ask about it but the salesman did mention it.

Yeah I saw that when I went back and looked at that particular one so it pretty much eliminates those for me....may still consider the other ones I posted since I will try anD tackle the install myself....I guess if you can lower the LCA without loosening the cam tower bolts the you wouldn’t need an alignment or will you have to get one regardless? I have seen a couple videos where they were taking off the UCA bolt which looked to be completely unnecessary as you should just be able to drop the coil over strait down without doing that.

Still need an alignment, it’s just less to take apart and the LCA cam bolts are torqued to 207ftlb x 4 without much room to torque them unless you have a lift. Didn’t have to mess with the UCA bolt other than maintenance. The bushings needed greasing so I had to loosen them. The polyurethane bushings on the UCA allow you to just swing them out of your way when needed.

Are they thicker where they mount to the truck then factory tow points. I wanted to order them but I have a front hitch for my plow and can't lose that....basically what I'm asking is are they like the factory tow hook minus the design to hold a d ring??
