What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

When the hell did they release that? I’ve needed something to cover that chrome up!

At the dealership for my first oil change. Wankers tried to tell me I can only get the oil change paid for at 10,000 and 20,000 miles because I'm "using synthetic". Told them "Wrong answer; try again". So they're changing the oil. Technically performing the 10,000 mile service. I get two additional "free oil changes" because I bought it from the dealership, so that basically gets me the equivalent. I'll dig up my paperwork to get a few more changes if needed, but I don't think I'll be doing too many more here.

Trimmed up the bed mat that I bought on the cheap off a guy on Facebook. Had to take about 2 inches off each side and the rear.

Also finished up installing the last of my FireFly's LEDs in the cargo lamp and license plate lamps. Whoever designed that gasket for the rear brake light needs to be tarred and feathered.

 

I work at a dealership in the service department. get some pretty good discounts

 

FedEx left these on my doorstep. Now I just need the time to install them. No more spacers! Might do Atlas spring packs for the rear next.

Thanks! I think so too. Already have the shells, grille and bulge. Just need to have the shells painted then I'll be good to go.

 

It’s not a hard job. Did mine all by myself but definitely would have been quicker and easier with help.

 

Me too. Yes it can get done quicker but I think its satisfying when you stand back and look at a project that you did yourself. There are plenty of people on here that can answer any questions you have.

 

Absolutely. Besides, it’s too much work trying to get my kids away from their XBox’s to come outside and help me out!

 

What was the reason you went with the Toytech? Did you think about any others? Trying to decide what I'm going to do.

 

Kings were my other choice. At half the cost and the amount of time my kids and I get to spend off road, the ToyTecs were the way to go for us.

 

I like it but if I were to do it again I would save up more and do the roll n lock. I am in Florida. The vinyls has shrinking in a few spots. Also the felt they glue to it so you can touch it in the heat has come loose.. I have had it for about 2 years so don t buy it

i had the exact same issue with my Bak revolver. i contacted them and gave pictures and proof of purchase and they replaced mine. might be worth a shot to do the same and see what they say.

Got tired of not being able to see anything in the bed at night or when the cover was over the bed so I installed some LED lighting in the bed.

 

Got a borla pro xs dual install today with black tips.

 

I just wanted to add more pictures from my original post #34863. I made my own version of an extinguisher mount on the legs of the front seat. I've had several of you who want more pictures so I took it out and took some better pictures of it as it's put together. Hope this helps.

Got the ToyTec Boss shocks and 2” blocks installed today. The adaptive cruise now works perfectly. So it doesn’t work with a 3/1 and 3/1.5 but it does with a 3/2 lift.

 

Just done installing tailgate power lock from sparksparts toyota No splicing needed its plug and play.

 

Drove it to the mall.
