You are correct. That is a halogen. You should be able to get a better bulb at any autopart store or even walmart. You won't get LED performance out of it, but it can be improved over stock.

IIRC you can talk to @Roman about getting the Stock LED housings and @iHacker for a harness that makes them plug and play. It'll be more money, but you will also see a bigger improvement.

Is there not a plug and play replacement that will have decent improvement where can just replace the lights?

Yep, that would be replacing the bulbs with a higher quality halogen.

If you are going to replace the whole housing you would be best served going LED, and that requires a harness to regulate the voltage for the LEDs.

I did not do an alignment only because I lifted the front a few inches shortly after getting the wheels and needed an alignment after that. I lost about 1 mpg with just the wheels and tires installed before the lift.

ahhh....ok. So any LED requires wiring to account for the voltage

So I have found these but they just say “projectors” and don’t say whether they are LED or not but also are supposed to be plug and play so I guess they aren’t LED? I like the look of them but not sure if they would be brighter. Have some tail lights form them and they are working great.

I can see that lol you've got plenty amber there. For me, I only have the squadrons fogs in amber. I have them on my stalk and pretty much use as a high beam turning on and off as vehicles approach so I can see wildlife off the sides of dark windy roads. The s8 with dash push button in clear I use when it's really dark off road and when I'm sure there is no one around on the road during crazy hours.

The plan I have is to mount 2 BD LP9s or at least 6's in amber on top the SSO push bar. My Warn Platinum Zeon 10s has 2 auxiliary ports to run accessories. Since my wireless handheld is always charged in the center console I plan to hold that in my hand with just my headlights on for those times I'm driving into work in the middle of snow storms, offroad, and in crazy fog when no one else is on road. I'll know ahead of time when I'll need them and a simple push button on and off from the remote will greatly increase my visibility from those ambers in heavy snow since I'malways driving in it.

As you can see I've already thought this one out and have convinced myself it's a necessity. Now it's just a waiting game to find someone selling them so I can save some money off them.

Some LEDs could have resistors built in and be plug and play, but your halogen housings would scatter the light.

The projector refers to the piece inside that looks like a fish eye. Not an indicator of the bulb type, and I think they are good for any bulb type. I might be wrong about compatible bulbs. ***The ones you linked are for a sequoia and will not fit your 2019 Tundra.***
I really recommend you talk to IHacker and Roman. They will have better info than I will for the OEM swap.

Mounted a block plug in my n-fab bumper after I fought with Toyota last week about their crappy install of the factory plug that burnt off on the manifold. 9A1D21E2-F3FA-4D8B-826A-5D0152F4B1B5.jpgThey refuse to warranty it because I’m heavily modified with an after market bumper they said.

I was going to say they can't deny warranty unless they can prove your modification caused it, but then I saw Canada. Idk what protections you guys have.

Ordered a set of Alpharex headlights. Can't wait for them to get here so I can replace my stockers in my '16 SR5. And on the fence about the ecoological bumper caps or an ESP storage box as the next upgrade, most likely next month.

First drain and fill for the transmission at 40k. Fluid came out darker than I anticipated so I’ll do another 4 quarts with my next oil change.

Hit 50k miles on my 2017(bought 8/2017). Changed oil, rotated tires, and changed air filter for first time. I live in country, but no dirt roads and no trees around my house (plus I park in the garage). Got to utilize the fumoto valve I had installed last oil change. So far no issues at all with my truck aside from having to change battery out about 3-6 months ago.

I know the thread has moved on from this, but y'all have some great info on fog lights and headlights in general. I'm in Texas, so rarely do we see snow. But we do get lots of rain day and night and occasional fog in the winter. Would yellow fogs still be better for those conditions or stick with the white fogs? And regardless of yellow or white, any recommendations on a good replacement? I've been looking at the Caliraised fog light and housing replacement, but I know very little about lighting other than having used the old-style Hella 500 off-road lights many years ago in past trucks I once owned.

Started work on my truck bed 12-volt access. I haven’t mounted the plugs yet because the wiring will need to be attached before hand. Still figuring out what all I will run from the back.
