Can someone help me out? I want to take the tail lights apart, separate the lense from the chrome inner. Is the lamp plastic welded or urethane sealed? I’m not above trashing one of these to see, but they are kinda pricey.

Try heating it with heat gun to soften and release glue. I never tried it, but it might work.

I believe they are not the kind of sealant like the headlights are where you can heat the up and pry them apart. Another member did what you are talking about and had to cut them open.

That’s my primary concern, weather they have to be cut or what. I saw the guy that opened his up but can’t find him now.

What started out as adding bed lights under my tonneau... turned into project “MAKE IT DAYTIME” I finished up the last of my LED strip installs today. (And since we are all photo-whores, well here...)

It's easy slip on, but be extra careful slipping in the strap underneath the driver seat. There's a metal frame that scarped the skin off my knuckle and cut my finger. The passenger side did not have the same metal, since it's not power seats. If I remember, I'll try to take a photo tomorrow of the hazards. LOL!

Changed out the black plastic door handles for color matched. (Well, not quite color matched. The Attitude Black ones were cheaper on Sparks than the regular black for some reason. I can’t tell much difference.)
I also got color matched mirror caps, but I can’t get them on to save my life. I even had a buddy who works at a body shop and he couldn’t get them on either. If I can’t figure it out, I’ll get with Sparks and see if they can send a new set.

I think the 218 Attitude black come straight from Toyota, and the 202 (plain black no twinkle) have to stop off at the paint shop (added cost). Toyota doesn’t offer the 202 on the truck or the Sequoia door handles.
Does that sound right? I’m not sure the more I think about it.

They actually do have both. For some reason the Attitude Black was almost $50.00 cheaper on Sparks. I’d gotten the classic black for the Sequoia, and they seem to be the same part from me looking at it. I figured if the Attitude clashed too much on mine, I could swap hers with mine.

It was getting dark when I finished, so I need to look at them in the daylight. I couldn’t tell much difference last night, but my eyes have also gone to shit. Even if I didn’t swap them, they look closer than the black plastic did.

Try slipping the outer side first, then bottom, then top. You might need to massage the cover to get it snugged in properly.

This is what Roman (toyota of cool springs) sent - these are the smart entry for a 2020 Tundra and matte black, which was cheaper than the shiny with the blue flecks

    692100C070 Handle Assembly Door O $140.70 quantity 2 $281.40

    692170C090 Cover Front Door Outsi $12.64 1 $12.64

    692170C030 Handle Cover without keyhole (Black) $12.47 3 $37.41

    692100C010 Handle, Outside (Black) $29.32 2 $58.64

    From his website:
    • Product ID:Tundra-door-handles-smart-entry
    • Description:
This is a door handle kit for 2020+ model Tundras that have the push button start feature. The handles have changed to accommodate the smart entry function, and use different front door handles. All four door handles are included in this kit. Not all colors are available. If you do not see your color listed, I would recommend ordering the black set of handles and having them painted at a local body shop.

The disclaimer about breaking it had me worried too. Eventually I just muscled it in.

I legit installed my CAI quicker. Possibly my sway bar, too... and I'd never used a torque wrench
