Would the rear camera wiring reach all the way to the rear window of a bed cap?

I like the oem like fitment and integration, I am not sold on them lasting here in the heat of Arizona. Even the ones with capacitors seem to die after 1-2 years.

Only feature that matters is how well it works at capturing licence plates, works at night, works in rain, capturing motion. In the end of the day you want to be able to read the plate number or details, rest is nice to have :D

Seems like one of biggest things is to reformat the SD card every 60-90 days.

hmm, good question, I'm not sure honestly. There is a lot of extra wire in the Crewmax, hated tucking that away, but I didn't measure how much extra exactly. I'm sure it's plenty long enough to reach the back of say a Sequoia but I'd doubt there is enough wire to run it down to the firewall, along the frame and then back up to the back of the cap though. I can't say when I'll be relocating the rear camera down behind the headrest but I can give you a better idea at that time if you are still looking for that info.

    Too many mods to come
Coilovers going back together. The springs are back from coating and should be on today. Bypasses weren’t up to par so he’s having them all redone and having some custom rebound and compression stickers made as well

just a piece of aluminum flat bar. I purchased a oem camera and oem wire harness. So it is plug and play... when the swing out is not on the truck I still have the tailgate handle camera available. just unplug one and plug in the other.

My 2013 was manual. My 2021 was supposed to have a manual, but I guess they just started chucking the autos in there to my dismay.

I even purchased a manual hvac and tried to retrofit it. Didn't work.

Oil change with Valvoline 5w30 Restore & Protect Maxlife, tire rotation, cleaning the MAF and throttle body

Probably will just do regular restore and protect next change but the maxlife was on rollback at Walmart for ~$25

Took a gamble on some VLAND headlights instead of OEMs and pleasantly surprised. Easy plug & play install, with a crazy difference at night compared to the older clouded lights. Extremely happy for the $350 price tag.IMG_7052.jpg

Not my day today. Doing a complete brake job, checked the new OEM rotor I installed on the passenger side and it’s ~65 thousandths out of spec and wobblier than a bullfrog on a lily pad in a boat wake. Checked the hub face, it’s solid. Removed and swapped over the front driver rotor I installed and the rotor run-off is now in spec. Gotta warranty it.

And today wouldn’t be fun if I wasn’t already a fat kid in a game of dodgeball: When I use my digital torque wrench, if I change the torque setting and let it turn itself off then it won’t turn back on unless I remove the batteries. Gotta warranty it.

It changes the run out, but it’s still there (~40 thousandths to over 100). One thing I’m noticing is that when I remove the lug nuts (finger tightened) it actually sticks to the hub as if it’s seized in place. My guess is that the rotor hat wasn’t machined correctly. The other new rotor just falls off once the lugs are removed.

    Looks very nice.
Now I ask (for a friend)!
Who is TGP? (I need one because I have not yet mounted the rear cam.)
What route did you use for the wire to the rear cam? (Again, mine not yet mounted)
Does your lane deparature now work? (Mine stopped working upon install of the FitCamX)
