Make sure you use it outside where there's sunlight or have a black light handy. I made the mistake of fixing a similar chip on my 23' Sienna Hybrid and it was raining outside.. no way to really cure it.

Been there! I'd highly suggest before you get started, as in a few days, use some PB blaster or the likes on the bushings. Take your time and be prepared to curse like a sailor. It's not hard, just somewhat tedious.

Did you have to change the harness or pins at all? There are some folks who had issues swapping this and ended up blowing their main fuse. I had to replace my 2020's blower as it failed and the factory replacement is starting to get pretty noisy. I'm beginning to think the last batch that was made for the 2020-2021's are problematic.

Kuat confirmed that they will not likely be making the side panel kit for full size trucks. bummer.

Got after it and installed the easy as pie front hitch last night in prep for a light wheeling trip this weekend. 99% chance I won't need the winch for the trails were looking at doing but the Boy Scout in me said to, and you know I've gotta listen to that guy...

    Front hitch.jpg

Didn't lose any true ground clearance like I was worried about but obviously the front approach angle is going to suffer significantly. I have a hitch skid in the shed, I think I'll put it in to prevent too much bashing. It will also make putting my RCI skid on the new truck a little more of a challenge, but I think I'll take the opportunity to get some longer 10.9 bolts to attach the hitch a little better, as I bought the hitch used and the bolts the seller supplied are not for the Tundra. It mounts using the tow hook mounting bolts.

Does this interfere with the factory skid plate at all? Which model hitch is this? I'm looking to install one for a front bike rack.

    Thanks!

It is the Draw-Tite 65080 front hitch.

Yes, it does interfere with the front mounting bolts, which will hinder my RCI skid plate install eventually. I will recommend that if you do install the hitch, do it in conjunction with an aftermarket skid or cut your factory to allow access to your oil filter.

I used the UV light I used for curing epoxy on flies; worked well for me, and no issues w the patch popping out.

No. It's plug and play if you order the correct one. Those who blew their fuses and such ordered the wrong part.

^^That link takes you to the part. That's what I ordered for my 2020, and it's definitely plug and play. You should be able to get it 15% off right now.

The previous owner trimmed the sides off, but I'll be installing my RCI skids at the next oil change anyway.

Looks like they redesigned the ABS guards. Mine are far chonkier and used an allen head bolt. Definitely worth the peace of mind as I fragged a sensor in a snowstorm a few years back.

Are those the Cryo treated and slotted rotors? I have them currently but I have to order another set. They have only been on since May or so but I had some vibration issues and the rotors have ridges. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

I haven't compared his prices to Frozens prices. I ordered directly from them back in the spring.
