I tried this out today, it was a much better experience putting around in the city stop & go.

Got my RAM mount Apple mag charger installed, finally put the last hose clamp on the snorkel, and ordered a new RV power port with an oil pan block heater. The new RV port has dual electrical connections, so I'll be running a factory block heater and a silicone adhesive oil pan heater. All because I'm a panzy ass and like my heat when I start the truck lol.

Yup. I had a factory block heater on my '15. The oil pan heater is the new experiment. see how much of a difference it makes.

You probably won’t notice a difference with the coolant heating up faster (with adding the oil heater), but the oil being warm is better for engine longevity because it will be more viscous and not sludge in extreme cold

Let's see the RV port installed when you're ready! I like the idea and yes, 2026 should mean you have heat when you want it in the morning!

On my '15, with the coolant only block heater, I'd see 40-50 degrees on 0-20 degree day

I returned a similar one that was a hardwire single output and ordered this one last night. I had a similar setup on my '15, I put the plug in the plastic center section of the front bumper.

Are you talking about oil temps with the block heater?

No, just coolant temps but I'm sure the radiant heat from the silicone pad will affect them as well.

There's a forum member in here who makes a harness with a relay to turn off the plate lights only when the truck is in reverse. I use it, it works great.

I didn’t know that. That’s an interesting solution.

Check the build link in my signature.
Paid it off. Or at least saw the payment clear my bank - still need to get final confirmation and then wait for a new clear title.
Still waiting for the real license plates to show up, along with the original title (I only bought it three weeks ago).
Had few parts arrive (new clock spring, new gas tank straps).
Ordered more parts for the rebuild…

a little bittersweet, since the other one had been paid off for years, and now I'm going to end up dropping ~$6k or so into getting this one back to what I lost.

Decided to upgrade my OEM liners to some Trixpoly Splash Guards. I had to custom cut to make it fit cuz it was not a direct fit.

No no....every 5k miles. I just hit 20k miles so it was just time, that's all. Plus tire rotation.
