Hmm.. I did the 3 button but it didn't seem to work. But then I didn't hold it down . I already have the other unit installed so it's gonna take with to uninstall just to test. Maybe this weekend.

You should go w/5.29s and 37" cheater slicks... For science!!! :D

    Well crap, scratch that... :frusty:

Looks like 31x12.50s are the largest available :pout:

    :rofl::rofl:

You almost got with that whole 'for science!' bit. Hard for me to say no to that. :monocle:

Problem is, my '13 is already too rowdy with the blower and all so the '21 has to fit the role of a milder mannered alter-ego.

Of course, mild-ish might be good enough...

Just opt for 35s on at least 18s or ideally 17s for now; I’ve talked to plenty of people that claim the truck doesn’t need a regear on 37s though

Another problem is that the 18-21s just got the absolute worst throttle mapping in hopes of mpg gains; makes them extremely sluggish compared to 07-13s and even 14-17s

I've got to say, I was kinda surprised to see the 37s break loose if I get on it at any point under about 50mph w/the 5.29s... :burnrubber:

Need and ooooohhhh that's kinda sweet or two totally different beasts...

I couldn't imagine running a stock geared Tundra on 37s and not having it feel sluggish and a bit "heavy"

Yeah I’m sure it would feel way more sluggish, but OTT should help a good bit if anyone doesn’t want to fork up the coin for a regear

You could hook up a disconnect and tuck it into the grille or bumper or fender liner that way you can plug it in quick and easy

I use PedalMonster :D I put it on sports mode crank it up high (they also have a track IIRC). you'll peel rubber if you're not careful and the truck lurches forward.

yup! I'm looking into getting that sorted out. I put the noco ringed terminals on and the wiring is like 6" too short to get out of the front grille. I am looking into some alternative options like getting an adapter to use an SAE plug (which I have one the correct length), or this https://werksgruppe.com/pages/chargesafe but its maxing out at 10A.

Yup, went through this thread one day and I kind of built a list of, "oooohhhhh, shiny, need that" it was deep, DEEP, into the $20k range before I decided that my wife would go at my knees like a cosa nostra bookie if I got all of that.

I am eyeing the 285/75 for the oem 18s i picked up, plan to mod the stock air box next and possibly a Banks throttle dingy. The truck feels pretty decent how it is, but I wouldn’t mind a bit more down low. It sounds goofy, but my civic had a done up 2.4 in it and the torque delivery absolutely shames the tundra currently :rofl:and of course, putting larger tires is going to worsen that gap.

Wait...what, the throttle mapping is different!?!? Is this why I am constantly pushing the tow mode button when I need to pass/screw around!?!??!?!

If only you knew how right you are  I haven’t been able to leave a vehicle stock for 15+ years, and up till now my ONLY goal was to shred as much ass in a straight line as possible. So it’s going to be tough to resist..

Yes sir, that was what I was thinking of doing first, then maybe trying the steering wheel control covers. But that one looks pretty intimidating, for me anyway.

I bought a kit off Amazon. They work great. And I think it was like 10-15 bucks
Have had them for 3 months or so and no blinking, burn out or anything so far. There are a bunch of various sellers out there to choose from but if you want me to send you the link I can go back and look it up for you.

Driving in S4 around town and S5 on 44-55mph highways has solved this for me.

In D, this truck tries to get to 6th gear as quickly as possible. Using sequential shift prevents the lugging for me. And in tow/haul mode, it’s almost too jumpy off the line.

Yup, I love the responsiveness off the line, my wife reacts like I just launched a John Force level funny car and complains about whiplash. Only time I ever use the sequential shifts are in the mountain to keep speed around corners and down hills, for a 6000lb truck, she can really boogie up a mountain road.
