Sports maybe, but not the Pros. It could be port added, but wasn’t part of the factory package.

How much was the refinishing on the wheels? First powdercoat place I called wanted $700, and that’s when painting myself came to mind:D I’m going to call a body shop I’ve used before and get a quote for fun today. I would put a ceramic coating on your wheels inside & out (after mount & balancing) to help keep them fresh. Gloss black wheels scratch like a b!tch.

I figured the pros was a standard part, the sports definitely get them.

Thanks, that’s a great looking truck! The red lettering is a nice touch.

I agree with above thoughts on silver/machined. But maybe I'm also biased. I am really tempted to take mine down to the wheel shop and have them stripped down to the machine finish and cleared. Imo it's always easier to add paint than it is to wonder.....what iffffff.

Obviously I'm across the country in NJ but I was quoted $175/EA for a set of 17s how ever I wanted them colored. Fwiw

I’m sure the rate they gave me is pretty standard, but $700 wasn’t worth it to me knowing $100 in supplies and a rainy day in my garage could do pretty well. I get analysis paralysis every time I do a build, so there will be lots of back & forth o_O

My concern was it doesn't look like all the CRD's listed with it. Also they aren't showing mounting hardware.

That's the part number I ordered, supposed to have all the hardware. It will be delivered today sometime, so I'll post pics when it gets here.

I called the installer and he said he only uses rtv and that the oem rubber gasket tends to leak sometimes.

Thanks. My installer said the same and that the oem gasket leaks sometimes. Funny when I bought mine the rear leaked a little until I switched to a heavy diff fluid.

They purposely left them off the Pros for more real wheel articulation, but a lot of folks add them to reduce the body roll when cornering at hwy speeds...

Definitely will fit. The reason it says it won’t is because your VIN isn’t for a factory TRD trim. But as mentioned above, the part of the truck it attaches to is the same across all trim levels.

My powdercoater charged $500 for a set of four with clear topcoat a couple of years ago. A few months ago, I had another set of wheels PC'd the same color and same extra clear coat and it was $600. He does good work, though, and I've not had an issue with them exposed to wintry conditions. He degreases and sandblasts the wheels clean before PC.

I painted an old set of Acura wheels for an accord I once owned; it wasn't a terrible ordeal. However, those wheels were painted from the factory so it was easy to sand, prep, prime, and paint. However, I believe your new TRD wheels are powder coated clear from the factory. So sanding will be a bear unless you have a sandblaster, and paint over PC is less ideal. Yes, you can do it, but it typically doesn't adhere as well as if you prepped bare metal so the end finish might not turn out as well as expected.

I appreciate the input! If I paint them myself, I was planning on putting them through a blasting cabinet first. I cleaned one this morning and it turned out pretty nice, I might just leave them alone for a bit. Your set looks great !

Are you certain the 12pin is correct for your truck? My '14 looks to be a 14pin...

I did check before ordering. And checked it was a 12 pin. But I’ll confirm later with the actual adapter.

    * edit. Just ran out to the truck to check and confirmed it is a 12 pin and the adapter is hooked in to the rearview now just need to hook up the dash cam.

    Just getting started...
I just put in their speaker package today. Excellent service, excellent package with absolutely everything you need separated out and labeled. Highly recommend! And that package of Nerds in there was just what I didn't know I needed during the install, but it was perfect!

Which speaker set up did you go with. Had I realized the service was awesome and the price on full head unit speaker and sub. I would’ve gone that route from jump. I ended up parting together a head unit and wiring this past summer. I used old amps and sub I had laying around. But I need new speakers.

Well, today I updated the maps to the latest release on my GPS. It still had the 2015 maps. LOL!
After doing that I installed my new bedrail caps. Whoever had the truck before me had installed an ugly and cheap cloth bed cover and it was catching water. Oh, and did I say it was ugly? LOL! I took it off and they had used double stick tape on the mounting rails and it had been on there for a while because my detail guy couldn't get the glue off. I ordered the new caps and they came in with one clip broke right in the middle of the drivers side cap. I told the company I bought them from and they sent me a whole new set. Now I have an extra set that are probably just fine, I don't believe that one broke clip would effect anything. If anybody wants to pay shipping from south Alabama, you can have them. Just let me know, I will give you my email and you can send a pack and ship label for UPS and I will drop them off for you at the UPS store.

Where did you get the map update?

How much did it cost you?

Was the installation process fairly easy?

I still have the 2015 map card in my truck and it is very outdated.

I got mine on Amazon, it was 25 dollars and I just switched out the old micro SD for the new one, started the truck and I had the new maps. Very easy, quick and cheap. Very happy so far. I got the Grayda. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9L3HCFP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
