lol, don't! I sat on those shocks for about 9mo before finally rebuilding them and getting them installed. Grill and middle bumper was even worse, bought that almost 2yrs ago, never even took them out of the box until the day I installed them.

I've already got a box of stuff started for next year when the weather warms up haha, mostly interior parts

Glad the rebuild went well for you. Tire and rim swap probably dramatically helped, I'm in the same situation with 20" OE rims and E rated BFGs. I'm going to 18" rims with my next set of tires, but will maintain the E rating because of towing, 295/70/18 Nokian Outposts are on the radar.

Did you have a video or breakdown on how to rebuild the rears? Debating on just doing it myself

yeah, the wheel swap was noticeable. I had aftermarket 20" and they were heavy, the picture of the grill was still with the old setup. I wanted to bring the wheels in a bit, went from +25 offset to +35 offset, and I wanted to drop some weight as well, lost about 10lbs per corner on the new setup. I've towed our boat (~5,700lbs) a few times now with these tires, didn't up the pressure (set at 35psi right now) or put the longer sumo springs in and it felt good.

So if I’m understanding correctly, the only difference in the wheels is one is satin and one is matte?

Same situation here too; factory 20s with 35s E rated

gonna put my wheels and tires on from my old truck, 18s on 35s also E rated; it’s crazy the weight difference

Thinking of adding Sumo's myself, still deciding on which one, black or yellow.

    Yes,
Here is the info regarding the different options for the BBS PRO Wheels

Add some flash and give your Tundra a custom look by outfitting it with the 18" matte black TRD alloy wheels. Alloy wheels are light, help enhance heat dissipation and provide greater rigidity under high-load cornering maneuvers than stock wheels. Incorporates the proper weight, offset and brake clearance to ensure proper fit, finish and reliability. This is a Black TRD Wheel that comes from the factory on certain Tundra/Sequoia models. It has a +60 offset and the 5x150 lug pattern. Please inspect the photos closely!

This wheel is very similar to two other wheels that Toyota makes. Here are those part numbers and their description:

    • PT960-34190-02 - Gloss/Semi Gloss Black with PRO and BBS-Forged Embossed in Brushed Aluminum
    • PT960-34200-02 - Matte Black With TRD and BBS-Forged Embossed in All Black
    • PT960-34190-F2 - Matte Black With PRO and BSS-Forged Embossed in Brushed Aluminum
These wheels do not include the center cap.

There are three interchangeable choices for the center caps. Here are those part numbers and their descriptions as well:

    • PT280-34190-02 - Gloss/Semi Gloss Black with a red ring
    • PT280-34200-02 - Matte Black with a black ring
    • PT280-34190-F2 - Matte Black with a red ring

I watched this video several times, the front and rear are basically the same.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIeBG934Etw
They installed the IFP upside down for some reason, not sure why. In the comment section of that video someone lists the IFP depth and nitrogen pressure for both the front and rear shocks, I measured the IFP depth when I disassembled and it was close to the values listed. But I also watched and read up on just basic rebuilding as well. I watched another video of a Ford Raptor shock being rebuilt and it's very similar as well, don't have a link to that one though.
I initially had trouble getting the seal head off but I was trying to clamp onto the lower mounting bushing and that wasn't working. I 3D printed a set of jaws to go into a vise and clamp onto the aluminum body of the shock, once I did that it came apart easily. Have a set of picks on hand for getting all the seals out of the seal head, I think getting those seals in was the hardest part honestly.
I also drilled and tapped the reservoir caps for a schrader valve because Shock Seals didn't have the direct replacement schrader valves in stock when I was ordering, they sell one that just installed in place of the flat head screw that is there. For that I 3D printed a set of covers for a 3-jaw chuck that I used at work to do the drilling and tapping.
I bought all my parts from Shock Seals, I also bought a regulator, hose and no-lose gauge for filling and checking the nitrogen, I'd have to look where I bought those. I also bought the built looking thing used in the video when installed the seal head back onto the shaft, again I'd have to look where I bought that. Everything else was just regular tools.
Overall I don't think it was too bad, I just took my time with the first shock but the second shock was much faster. The rears should slightly easier since you don't have to remove the mount/spring/spring perch from the shock before starting work, but after that should be the same.

I've had Sumo Springs on for over 50k miles now, I just wanted to let the rear suspension move more freely so I cut a set down to try. Plus I have RAS back there and that helps. I don't recall what I had them set to before but I cranked those up some now, between the two discs that are supplier and that gave me just a little lift in the back. The front stayed right where is was previouslt with the TRD Sport shocks and spacers.

I have RAS as well, thinking of tightening it up as well, rear sags too much for my liking when towing the camper. How much did you tighten them up? Right now I have them set with the thicker of the two plastic pieces.

I thought I originally set them to the white disc, I believe that is the thinner disc. But when I was doing all the work I checked them and the thinner disc didn't fit. One disc is 1mm and the other is 2mm, so I reset mine to right about 1.5mm using feeler gauges. Our boat only has a tongue weight of ~350lbs last time I checked it. After doing all the work and hooking the boat up I measured my truck and still have ~.5in rake if I recall correctly.

Picked my new truck up from the dealer after having the S-Cargo SmartCap installed. I've got parts coming in from all over the place and trying to decide what of my old truck to throw on now. Also, does anyone have a link for Fred Anderson Toyota and their parts website? I've tried looking and every time I do it on my phone it comes up as a warning that this site may be trying to steal your information, and it won't let me pass the warning.

Installed my transmission cooler finally. Turned into a pain in the rear. I had hell getting the hard lines bolted in and then had hell with the thermostat getting it installed. Everything is working fine and no leaks. Now to reinstall my cat covers...........

I feel it’s extremely stable. My buddy and i have done this three years in a row now with our trucks and not once have we been sketched out. I only wish they were a tad taller
Putting the truck on Jack stands could give me more height but it’s more work and I’m lazy :anonymous:

I've got a 2020 limited. Does anyone have the oem part numbers for the driver and passenger side mirrors? All my mirrors have is the heated feature, no bsm or turn signals.
