Finally got the switch relocated to the proper location. The cable i originally bought from accessorides.com was short so had to move to the right side of the steering wheel. Purchased the 47' from 12volt.solutions and was able to reach the desired location by the shifter. Thanks to @RainMan_PNW for the guidance and fast delivery of the 3-way cover that is great quality and super easy to install with his template. This is a great mod that leaves room for future expansions.

I use Redline MT-LV for the transfer case. Most auto parts stores carry it in stock. I stock up when they have a sale. For diffs it doesn't really matter what brand as long as you change it on time.

It’s an easy change, just pull the door card off, roll the window all the way up (if you had it down) and it’s two 10mm bolts on the door side, after it’s unbolted from the door and can you just pull it out, super easy

Definitely hard to keep track of shit sometimes... Couple that with how fast threads get 'cross-homogenized' w/various opinions and part#s, it quickly get a bit convoluted and confusing at best. Oftentimes, the wrong #s get thrown out there throughout the discussions which leads to folks getting the wrong part#s due to bad intel... HVAC blower motor is a good example of this. I think there were 4 or 5 part#s floating around in that one :notsure:

I ended starting a spreadsheet and a word doc to log things that this when they come up so I can find them easily.

This list in particular was put out there by @AZTundra (I believe). Saved me a bunch of time and the headache of looking everything up myself, plus the #s were all spot on, so no reason not to share w/others!!!

Thank you! How difficult is peeling back the watershed plastic without destroying it or getting three black butyl tape on everything?

Super easy, go slow and don’t try and do a big section, ease it section by section off the tape/glue and it’ll come; worst case if the plastic rips just get some gorilla tape or duct tape and tape the front and back

since it is colder out now, maybe applying heat with a heat gun or hair dryer would also help (edit x2: actually that theoretically would make it stickier so maybe don’t)

    Following this up.

Found the culprit - bad exhaust gasket. I have stainless works headers into spd performance cat back. Sound is from rear of truck. Just reached out to spd for new gaskets. Finally. Been chasing it for a month.

Also did an oil change today. Went from 5w-30 to 0w-20 again, both pennzoil ultra platinum. First time using 5w-30 and will be sending the sample to Blackstone for analysis.

We shall await your Blackstone results with eager anticipation :hattip:

SPD doesn’t use just generic exhaust gaskets?
