I finally got around to installing a new OEM tailgate assist strut, P/N: 66140-0C030. Easy to replace and now my tailgate opens and closes like it did when it was new.

While I was out there working on the truck, I also installed the brushless LC blower motor, P/N: 87103-60560. That was an incredibly easy upgrade! Plug and play. I haven't driven it yet to see if it helps much. I have only tested it for operation. It seems quieter and the airflow to the back seems to have increased.

You guys on this forum were really helpful with the Fred Anderson 25% + 25% + free shipping deals. That saved me quite a chunk of change. Thank you all!

Any recommendations on oil for front and rear differential change and transfercase? Mostly road driving, random off-roading, no rock crawling as of yet, light to medium duty towing every now and then

@1lowlife - if I remember correctly, you replaced the clicking door check on your 2014 Tundra some time ago. I bought a replacement because mine clicks and I hate that noise every time I open and close the door. Do you have any pointers or lessons learned from your experience that would be useless to me when I replace mine?

    It wasn't hard to replace.
I did buy the expensive OEM part to replace the broken one.
I didn't trust the aftermarket part for something used so much.

Gorgeous country up there. Used to live in Orgeon. Miss it a lot. What roof mounting do you have? I'm looking at doing something similar.
