SEM is a refinish manufacturing company, that years ago, took the plunge into auto products. Today. they have a ton of paint and finishing products in the high end market. If you read Hot Rod /Car Craft magazine from the 80s (I cant speak for time periods after this), You'll find many references to them.

Replaced the factory 20s with 275/55 HTs for Fuel Blitz 20x9 with 285/60 Duratracs. I'd prefer BFG but Discount's site was offering the Duratracs at $277/ea

The 285/60/20 barely fits at stock height. I had to remove the factory mudflaps and the plastic finish panels behind the fog lamps.

    After20251017_180411.jpg

Sadly Fuel appears to no longer offer the Blitz in 20x9 so hopefully I never need a wheel. Got all 4 used for $550, and these are apparently the more expensive "milled" finish

Went to check my trail cam and one feeder yesterday evening. Liked the pic and thought I’d share. Can’t wait for deer season!

This is one small feeder on some land I’m allowed to use anytime I want. Very thankful for that! It’s about a 10 min drive from my house!

We always have "visitors" at the Quantico Shooting Club's bird feeders. Marine Corps Base Quantico has 52,000 acres of ranges that are all protected so there is a healthy amount of critters.

No freeloading, replaced the master switch with one that has an auto function for all four windows and blue LED's.

Took the boy out rabbit hunting, and when we didn't get any, found a local pit to try out a new, heavier buffer.

I'd say the buffer works well.

And the current project is drying out the bed.

When I went to bolt the DS portion of the R4T from bed support, there was standing water in the bed. So, out came the plywood, fridge, 8020 build, and bed rug, and here she sits...getting blown out...TWSS.[IMG]

New Denso plugs today and put a Toyota battery in. Original battery was 6 years old still going strong, but figured better pull the trigger on a new one before winter.

Plugs were pretty easy, but had to buy a wire harness pliers because my fat, weak arthritic fingers can't grab those harnesses anymore. Those worked like a charm getting wire harness pulled from coils. Best $30 bucks I spent today.

This was all after doing the wifes warped brakes on her VW Atlas. Damn, does she fry rotors.

Can we get a link to those plyers...or one similar? Like you, I don't have that finger strength so much.

Not sure what your plans are w/the old switch, but if it's still in good shape and all switches are working, I'd be interested in picking that up from you... PM me if you're interested in offloading it

Installed the Meso Custom volume button/steering control fix it kit, along with ajt design steering blackout surround.

I think i will have to remove the meso custom fix it kit. 2 cons:
    1. The led does not match the factory color
    2. The vol +, -, track forward, reverse does not match brightness to factory. Dimmer. The vol + section, the light does not show all. Some spot are dark.

my ocd just can’t handle it at night. During the day, no problem. All buttons function as factory intended. I just get myself to like it.

It is hard to capture it with the phone’s camera. But the meso piece had more green in it. More turquoise than the factory blueish. I had it installed for 15 mins and already couldn’t stand it. Then there is the brightness not matching factory. It is dimmer than factory.

if you are some what ocd, you may want to reconsider this fix it piece from Meso custom.
Back to factory for me. This sucks, i really wanted the volume to be up and down not left and right like factory.

It’s pretty bad in person. The camera could not show how bad it is because it kept auto correcting the exposure.

I should’ve done a little more research and dig deeper. Otherwise i wouldn’t have gotten it. It’s coming off tomorrow and getting send back.

Removed my Talons Garage skid plate today to access the transmission to pin my thermostat after reading several positive results about doing it.
After my OTT a few months back I noticed slightly warmer trans temps than usual. Just regular city driving would get me upwards of 210-220 which concerned me just a bit. After reading the thread about pinning I thought I'd give it a try.
Well I'm really glad I decided to because in removing my skid plates I found one of three bolts missing from the front skid plate bracket that mounts to the engine cross member and another bolt loose. Luckily I had an extra one lying around that I was able to use. Added some threadlock to all 3 and added rubber washers throughout the entire full skid plate to eliminate any creaking noise.

Drove around for a good 30min and definitely noticed the slower increase in temp and highest temp I saw was 202. Most of the time it hung around 180-190. I'll definitely be keeping mine pinned.

Swapped the Platinum grille for an SR5 grille I picked up for $50. I know all the kool kids want the TRD grille, but the big Toyota letters just don't blow my skirt up

Also, the wife has considerable light sensitivity and had complained of the chrome vent trim reflecting in her eyes. I grabbed these inexpensive surrounds on Amazon. I'm really NOT into every Chinese accessory on Amazon like a 16 year-old tricking out his first car, but these were to serve an actual purpose.

    Before 20251018_201340.jpg
    After20251018_201914.jpg

Ironically other reviews on Amazon relate purchases for the exact same reason: sun reflecting off the chrome into one's eyes

Yeah, Toyota really dropped the ball on the chrome in the interior, just like the shifter surround it’s blinding

I picked up the AJT blackout trim for that when he was doing a sale a month ago

    also the grille looks good!
