The last time I changed spark plugs, I noticed some oil on one of my coils. Figured I would change out the spark plugs boot seals and valve cover gasket. I was surprised by how clean it was under the cover. Its a 2015 and has 257000 miles currently. This is the drivers side. I didn't have time to perform passenger side yet. I have the dreaded timing chain tensioner noise on cold days after idling about 4-5 minutes. It lasts for about 5 minutes before it disappears. I heard rumor that it was due to tensioner being dirty but my looks pretty clean.( Obviously I can't see inside of the tensioner, so I'm only speculating that it's clean.) I'm going to try some Valvoline restore and protect. Might be a waste of time. Either way, enjoy the pictures.

motor looks VERY clean, I can tell you've run high quality oil and good oil change intervals

are you running 5w30 or still 0w20? Cause if still on the latter you could try the 5w30 for the tensioner rattle

I've been running 5w30. The noise hasn't really gotten any worse in 40k miles. Most summer days above 80 degrees, it doesn't even name the noise. But cold days I can hear it.

you 100% should... shortly after buying my truck I bought a dash cam (Fitcamx), my wife wasn't sold on it. Not long after she was involved in an accident, she didn't know where the car came from and she wasn't able to stop in time and hit them in the right quarter spinning them up onto the sidewalk and into a pole, she was driving a Yukon and they were in a Nissan Versa I believe. She called me as it happened not far from my work so I went to make sure she was ok. I asked her what happened and she said she didn't know where the car came from, it was just in front of her and she tried to stop but couldn't. Cop got there and after speaking with my wife he went to speak with the other driver, I could hear the conversation and he said they were making a right turn into the gas station and she rear-ended them, then someone that had showed up for them tried to get him to say he was injured but he didn't. That was obviously a lie as the damage was on the right quarter panel, not the rear of the car. Cop went into the gas station and luckily they had a video showing what happened, the person made a right turn from the 2nd to left lane on a 4 lane divided highway, somehow missing the truck next to my wife and getting smacked by my wife. Without that video it could have been a he said she said mess. Now she has a TrailBoss and we put front and rear dash cams in it shortly after purchasing.

Made it a long wknd w a small cabin and nearby lake. 750 mile round trip of early Fall goodness. (In SE Texas that means the humidity fell below 90% for a couple days...)

Looks like you might have already gotten this figured out but the ones I ordered were the level 3 customization and got 4 emblems, 2 for the front mats and 2 for the rear $60 + tax and shipping was $70 total. It was a little more than I planned on spending but they are very high quality and look like a factory option once installed so I’m happy and still less expensive than Weathertech mats. The seller also included two small tubes of glue for the rear mats. The rear mats have a factory embossed “Husky” logo that is raised and either has to be sanded down to be flush or filled in around it with the special glue to ensure proper adhesion otherwise the emblem would only be sticking to the tops of the raised letters and probably wouldn’t last very long. I ordered the emblems before I got the mats and realized this issue once the mats arrived otherwise I probably would have just ordered the front emblems only. I haven’t installed the rear emblems yet but will try to find time this week and update with how the process goes.

Front mats: emblems stick just fine without any sanding or glue just followed install instructions using rubbing alcohol to clean and heat gun to help adhesion.
    IMG_1660.jpg

Rear mats need to have raised letters sanded down with dremel tool or shaved off with a chisel and possibly extra glue if needed.
    IMG_1659.jpg

Front and rear emblems have different shapes so keep that in mind also when ordering.

It really helps with ease of getting bug juice off things. I have used it for years with the motorcycles, helmet shields, and vehicles. In fact I no longer wax the vehicles, just Bugslide them. Spray on, use one microfiber to spread it around, allow to dry, then wipe down with a second microfiber towel and the result is an incredible shine. Anyway, highly recommended especially with all the bugs in your area.

Make sure you have a Toyota owners account. Got to the dealer site that you want to purchase from and go to their parts page. Log in to the dealers part page using your Toyota owners account login. Once you add items to the cart, you will see the 25% off once you view the cart. In the promo code box, add GRob25Q324 to get the additional 25%.
