Nice upgrade, I kinda like the fact it still keeps the cd player…. I have a few cds I still like to play. This website is expensive.

I know yall are talking about an integrated part, no wires, no fuss... but for newbs surfing the topic, Scamazon plug ins work fine for most folks.

These do not work for 2014-2019 models. All of the quick plug in adapters need existing CarPlay units

edit: just for clarification 2014-2019 Tundras did not come with wired CarPlay/android auto thus needing an external module hardwired in. 2020-2021 Tundras with wired CarPlay/android auto can utilize usb wireless adapters

Got 112k miles and everything was fine until about a month ago and started getting these dash lights/ warnings. They will clear out after the truck sits for awhile.Today it shifted funny around 3rd or 4th gear and dash lights up with check engine light this time.Plugged in the OB2 VEEPEEK and got these codes.PXL_20251004_013744738.jpg PXL_20251004_013742717.jpg PXL_20251004_013740662.jpg Screenshot_20251005-120350.png
Yeah I've done 3 drain and fills with Toyota WS with correct level Temp check and flushed the brake system last month..... I'm scratching my head :monocle:

When’s the last time you did the D/F? But looks like you have a couple solenoids causing problems, or line pressure issues, if I remember right those won’t be triggered by a bad torque converter

if you’re interested in fixing it yourself I can pull up the repair info for those codes

What's crazy is I disconnected the negative battery terminal for about 15 min reconnected and no check engine light.Went about 5-6 miles down the road to pick up the wife and no codes,no dash lights but had it in S4 the entire way there. On the way back had it in D and it acted like it wanted to misshift but I gassed on it a little and it never coded. Please send me those repairs for the codes and if it does it again that's what I will do.

So the tranny needs two trips to set codes, when you lock it into S4 you keep it from going into overdrive which is probably where those start acting up (or during flex lockup or full lockup); when my TC was going bad I could drive it in S4 all day long and never set a trip, but the second I let it go into overdrive and it entered flex lockup it started the DTC

Looks like it fits nicely. How is the quality? I had an ARE on a previous truck and thinking about another one for traveling.

I believe, according to my manual, Toyota recommends looking at the non trans related codes first. Look at your brake system first as it will affect the rest. I was just reviewing this last night for my transmission I sent out for a rebuild.
    766 is the S4 solenoid
    776 is the SL2 solenoid
    2714 is the SLT solenoid
Check ground on trans. S4 will prevent the upshift 3-4 and slt stuck on can cause low line pressure. Debri in valve body or? Lots of things to check out.

Installed the black TRD exhaust tip. Install was a piece of cake. Removing the chrome exhaust tip that was on there was quite challenging. I ended up using an angle grinder to split it open, and even doing that it was still fighting me all the way.

Installed new dash cam, old one stopped working. Old one was a single front facing, this one is front and rear so made a little bracket for the rear.

Nice! What brand and how close does it sit to the rear window? If you go down a bumpy road will it rattle against the glass?

How is the battery in your truck? I have seen all kinds of codes when the battery is weak (including the ones you are showing).

@BR73 like mentioned battery condition. Wasn't their an issue with the collision sensor system? Im not up on a lot of the late 2.5 systems. Also brake sensor. If SLT is stuck on it can reduce line pressure for shifting. Along with S4 for delayed upshift from 3-4 and 4-5.

I tried to remove my chrome tip today and add a black exhaust tip. Ran out of time. I’ll get the angle grinder out.

Looking these back up on Amazon, they're listed now as "RP Remarkable Power Tundra Fog Light". I did use some different bulbs (Auxito H11 LED Foglights). The plastic mounts fit well and no complaints on them holding up. All working well now for a year.
