What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Finally got around to replacing my front rotors (pads were good) -- no more shaking/vibrating when braking. Also changed the front and rear diff fluid with amsoil

$39 75w-90 GL-5 Limited Slip, Ultra Long Drain 500k Miles, Manual Transmission, Gear/Differential Lubricant (1 Gallon)

75w-90. Then took it to get the tires rebalanced as the truck shook pretty gnarly over 55 mph. Falken AT4W in 35x11.5x17's. Busy day but truck rides so smooth and stops on a dime now. Love this thing. First time since February that its up and running 100% (knock on wood) aside from some squeaks here and there.

 

Knocked another thing off my list. Meso Customs steering wheel volume fix.

At least you guys don’t have the one random silver volume button for whatever reason and the only fix is a $350 set of new buttons just to make the volume button black…

My 17 was that way. So the steering wheel I swapped out to, had a black phone button where my volume was, same button, I swapped it out. If you have severe OCD, I don't recommend it.

 

Haha I also store my bug spray right next to my jack stands.

 

I wasn't sure how I'd like the flat bottom of the flying high steering wheel, since I'm not driving a race car. But after getting in and out of the truck, that flat bottom is handier than a pull string on a tampon. If you haven't gotten one of these flying high steering contraptions yet, you need to.

 

They were out of stock for a while. I've been sitting on that for probably 6 months or more.

One of the reasons I haven't done the blackout on my '17.

Does that black phone button have its own part number? I wouldn't mind that for my volume button

 

I'm not sure, I just did some looking at the controls and seen how that button pops out, which is really simple and did it. It's possible it has a part number.

 

It actually is from a ‘14-‘21 4runner I believe.@Roman had a thread going on it a while back.

Took advantage of the 25% off last night before the sale ended. Ordered the LC fan motor and a color matched Platinum style grille. Now I just need to find a color matched hood bulge in stock somewhere.

$85 is better but that assembly looks pretty beat up

 

@reywcms did you figure out if you would be able use just the button if you buy the new assembly?

Edit: post#13 shows both sets of wires go to the same connector so you’d probably need to do some re-pinning of the wires from the volume button

On the subject of blackout mods, working on this here right now.

 

I'm starting to think about SEM paint.

 

Yep, it just pops out. Just be careful and not break the little tabs.
